Need to see link..

Trump never promoted lockdowns. He let governor's and mayor's do that.

Trump got that majorly wrong, but those initial numbers were correct. As with pretty much every respiratory (airborne/droplet) virus you seem to have initial success with lockdowns only to delay the deaths and reach herd immunity quite later. In reality there's nothing that can be done to prevent its spread or manipulate its curve in a significant way, and the sooner you achieve natural herd immunity the better.

In fairness, Desantis did lock down April 1, 2020 and then lifted measures in September.

Bingo. That's all there is to this. We're not stopping a respiratory virus. Hiding inside (technically worse), masks, stopping the economy, etc. It was all a waste of time. Trump did fuck up covid, there's no doubt about it. He's also not a doctor. He relied on 40 year bureaucrats to guide his policy on it that fucked up AIDS and funded making covid. He should have known better. Trump was an economy POTUS. Health was out of his realm.

^^^^^^^ This
The low hanging fruit of the nearly dead was wiped out early. As the continuing excess mortality numbers roll in, it is Sweden that is profiting in terms of not sacrificing lives across the age spectrum by mandating the death jab.

Excess mortality edges downward in the EU. Still really high in Germany (and that soot can't be helping any).

Doesn't matter.

Before you know it, it'll be The Islamic Republic of Europe.

In retrospect any such die off will be a rounding error.
