What about travel bans? This one’s trickier, as there isn’t really much possibility of a parallel system as there is with finance. However, if air travel starts just getting closed off to large numbers of people because the state has decided that they’re ‘right wing extremists’, airports become pretty useless to those people. The same thing is true if the lunatic carbon passport scheme is enacted, by means of which the Regime intends to essentially eliminate recreational air travel for the plebs. Meanwhile, airports are crucial to the industrial-scale importation of migrants. Thus, we would arrive at a situation where airports are of practically no use to the general population, but are still of strategic importance to the Regime. Substack is of course useful as a neutral platform with a commitment to an open free speech policy, which it has so far been fairly solid on9. Every philosopher, artist, musician, writer, animator, journalist, scholar, researcher, scientist, and entertainer who can make this transition slips out from under the yoke of the legacy institutions. As such, they become extremely difficult for the system to control.

And if the creators aren’t being controlled, the culture isn’t being controlled.

A bill that would ban the display of pride flags and ideological flags in Tennessee public schools ― but does not explicitly prohibit display of the Nazi or Confederate flags in schools ― passed the full state House on Monday.

House members passed House Bill 1605 on a party-line vote of 70 to 24, with one member present, not voting.

The bill, sponsored by Rep. Gino Bulso, R-Brentwood, would prohibit the display of any flags that “represent a political viewpoint, including but not limited to, a partisan, racial, sexual orientation, gender, or other ideological viewpoint.”

A companion bill could be up for a final vote in the Senate as early as Thursday, having passed the Senate Education in a 5 to 4 vote last week.

Best law would be similar to what a Muslim city council passed in a Minnesota town - No flags on public property except the US Flag and the State Flag. Put the Fag Flag or Confederate Flag on your own private property.

Every individual item will be controlled not by the public good or even majority will, but by the narrowest interest that can make it their life's work and either get rich, or lead a life of sloth by controlling it.

Homelessness policy is not set by the businesses and people who live in the areas destroyed by them but by the activists and social workers who get more funding the worse the problem becomes, and who will fight to the death to prevent you from arresting or forcing out the addicts, because they're part of the social Worker industrial complex and they'll lose money if the homelessness problem gets better or stops hurting normal people.

This is why governments cannot ever be reformed except via a dictator who's Junta forces out the democratic corruption, takes ownership of the entire system, and hunts this stuff down because it’s now hurting HIS bottom line and economy by billions, or via collapse.

Either the Public Choice problem is finally solved via someone gaining enough power to become the owner/operator of the new regime, or it is solved by the system collapsing and lots of little owner operators tearing it apart into their own little kingdoms.

Perhaps there is a theoretical solution from game theory though.

If everyone who lost that 50 cents to grift could find an organization capable of resisting the grift and donate 10 cents to it, the problem would get solved.

It's a matter of:

1. finding the people being fucked by government (not hard to do)
2. convincing them of the need to resist and get their money back (should also not be that hard)
3. creating and funding an organization to oppose each grift (the hard part)
4. keeping that organization from getting compromised by the grifters (perhaps even harder)

You would have to find people that lost that 50 cents who are not making more money from other government grifts. A grocer who resents the costs of USDA rules on his foodstuffs, but also has a large share of customers using USDA run SNAP/EDT.

Join your county GOP central committee.
Shut up, listen and take notes to identify MAGA vs RINO
Become indispensable
Begin openly opposing RINOs
Recruit MAGA allies. (ask them to come to the meetings)
Make MAGA the majority of the committee. I'll give the details on how I did this and got selected as a state GOP delegate. Join the GOP central committee for your county. A simple internet search will tell you when and where they meet. Go to EVERY meeting keep your mount shut and listen so you can identify the MAGA vs RINO. (take notes). Volunteer for every job. Sell the tacos at the farmer's market, clean the floor of the committee room and the county fair GOP booth. Flip burgers, stuff envelopes. I did it all. When you work with people, they tend to say things they wouldn't say in the meetings. This helps to identify them. Do all the crappy jobs. I spent a year volunteering for every fundraiser and event. I became indispensable. I began to speak up in the meetings, openly supporting MAGA policies and opposing the RINOs.by questioning them. Begin recruiting allies. I asked friends to join the committee. Fortunately for me, a former New Yorker "mega MAGA man" joined. He was a natural leader. (I am not. I know my strengths and weaknesses. I am more of a worker bee.) Soon the RINOs on the committee get frustrated and quit attending. (Typical and weak as expected) Committee becomes majority MAGA and when primary season comes around and the committee meets to select delegates, I throw my hat in the ring and get selected.
It's hard work and not quite as simple as it sounds but, worth it. Thanks to Tony and his leadership, it was easier for me.
