To conclude, this is a nationwide study on the symptoms in children with SARS-CoV-2 infection and describes the symptoms of all children tested positive through rigorous tracing and testing. This study helps shed light on the true frequency of complications in pediatric SARS-CoV-2 infections and supports the observation that COVID-19 disease in children generally causes nonsevere symptoms and despite around half the cases were during a delta variant of SARS-CoV-2, no hospital admissions were needed although transmission was clearly more potent than in previous variant.

https://journals.lww.com/pidj/Fulltext/9900/SARS_CoV_2_Infections_in_Icelandic_Children__Close.124.aspx

Outcomes among Icelandic children infected with covid:
Asymptomatic 21%
Mild Symptoms 74%
Moderate symptoms without medical care 4%
Moderate symptoms with medical care 1%
Severe Symptoms 0%
Hospitalized 0%
Deaths 0%

I continue to be baffled at recommendations for Covid vaccines in children, the need to isolate, the need to shut down schools.

I don’t understand why anyone is advocating for any of that. It doesn’t make any sense at all.

Risk of Obesity Among Female School Teachers and its Associated Health Problems.

Results indicated that 43.2% of the teachers had Grade I obesity, 20.4% had Grade II obesity and 6.6% had Grade III obesity thereby indicating obesity as a significant health problem among teachers. Factors such as age, waist circumference, intake of junk foods, physical inactivity and BMI were significantly associated with obesity. In addition, health issues such as hypertension and arthritis was also found to be associated with obesity. The study therefore recommends the need to promote healthy lifestyle for school teachers that can be achieved through appropriate health education and interventional measures.

It's a test of how compliant the population is. It would hardly be a test if it made any sense.

Teachers, whose job is to be educated and to educate promote this insanity, they aren't on strike are they? Although they could. Why do you let your kids be educated by these obvious incompetents? Politicians whose entire responsibility is to make good reasonable choices for society's benefit are doing clearly illogical things - why do you allow them to continue to lead when they are so obviously incompetent? They would setup concentration camps if the higher ups told them to. Journalists whose entire job is to be informed and to inform the public promote this, why do you continue to listen to them?

Our entire society has been laid bare. Our society is centrally controlled. Very few people made logical decisions that were contrary to central authority. Now you can see it very clearly.

I always suspected, but I didn't realize it was THIS bad.

I have lost all my faith in a hierarchy of competence and good judgement. My employer was trying to force me to take a vaccination. My response was 'fuck you". It was "fuck you, and I don't believe how fucking stupid and weak you are". That is what I think. I'm DISGUSTED by most people now.

There's no fucking reward for being right. I feel badly for FAMILY that fell for this shit, but not friends. I really do not care at this point if these injections permanently harm them long term. They could have stood up, they could have listened, they could have done a MINOR amount of thinking - but they didn't. They just complied, for a "pandemic" that had a 99.8% survival rate. I'm surrounded by engineers, and THEY can't fucking do the math. I'm absolutely disgusted.

Most people I know would have happily become Nazis if this was 1939. Almost everything I know is just an animal, not a human being. Smart people too. I don't know if I ever want to work or be around 1/2 the people I know ever again. This is what the last 2 years have done to me. I don't know if I will ever will respect them again.

Correct, People are pack animals and is human nature for the herd to look to an authoritarian that is on "their" side. Very few humans are actual leaders.

If I were young and intending to have a family, I would leave California and move to a place where we could afford to live without my wife working and could homeschool the kids. California is an absolute shithole at this point.

Btw, thanks for using the subjunctive "were" with contrary to fact instead of "was". Most people don't anymore, which feels like a degradation of language and thought. In German, the subjunctive is obligatory in that case. I think the Germans do think more clearly than English speakers in general, though perhaps more rigidly as well.

It's also good practice to use "whom" correctly, and to distinguish "its" from "it's". It's not hard once you get the rules.

I know I break the rule about putting a period within quotes, but that is a stupid rule so I do it deliberately. The Germans of course do quotes correctly, leaving the period outside the quote because it's not actually part of the quote.

Easier said than done. The rural beauty and climate is incredibly hard to find, as are states which don't tax you much along the coast line. We love the coast so we wil likely enjoy it a few more years. Also planning on spending a year overseas, maybe longer. Not worried about house prices and we'd likely rent out the place. But if anyone has good info on pros and cons on east coast states, thinking Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire, always appreciated. Portland ME vs CT shoreline etc.

I recommend you find a lake. They are all up north, but a lake front property in Wisconsin or Michigan isn't terribly expensive, but you don't want to be there in winter. You can go south then.

My aunt has waterfront property on a river in NY - she's in Florida during the summer. Her "house" on the waterfront is a CABIN, not habitable during the winter, no insulation. Pipes have to be blown out to prevent them from bursting, power turned off, abandoned during the winter. But it's beautiful in the summer.

Ocean sucks, it's caustic, everything corrodes. West coast, the water is cold and it sucks. Ocean front property is highly over-rated. The ocean is nothing more than the cesspool of the Earth.
