This is an easy topic to mis-interpret, the point is privacy, not guns, and not Los Angeles. Yeah, the leak wasn't even state-wide. I'll try to state this again for those sitting in the back, if you don't give anyone your personal info, then you'll never have to worry about them leaking it.

I understand you don't think you have a reason to care about privacy. You don't think you'll ever be mistakenly identified as having committed murder, like the dude who was accused in Phoenix a few years back because his google data mistakenly showed him in the vicinity when the murder occurred. Lost his job, I'm sure fucked his life in other ways. All because he failed to protect his data, and like you, assumed nothing would ever happen.

If you read JJ Luna's book, he's got tons of these examples.

Are you trying to pull a richwicks on me? The OP literally starts with words "LA county". It's not in California? Since when?

You're the one who wanted to be specific about location, the list is of people who bought a gun in LA, not the whole state. But as I mentioned, it's irrelevant as the topic is privacy, and how these people wouldn't have had anything to worry about if they practiced privacy.

Maybe you should care a little more about privacy. It would at least help you get context for these types of threads quicker.
