Republican senator introduces bill to counter dangerous move

As the deadline came Thursday for members of the National Guard to receive a COVID-19 vaccine or be expelled, a Republican senator introduced legislation to counter the Army's move.

The bill sponsored by Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn would ban federal funds from being used to implement the requirement, which effects up to 40,000 unvaccinated National Guard members.

Blackburn told the Daily Caller that firing the members would threaten national security.

“Our service members are the bedrock of America," she said. "Firing 40,000 Guardsmen for refusing the COVID vaccine would be both a complete disgrace and a threat to our national security. I am honored to stand beside our National Guardsmen and women by introducing this legislation to protect them from President Biden’s forever pandemic."

A Christian family is begging the Biden administration to intervene in their upcoming deportation after living in the US for 15 years seeking asylum from persecution in Germany.

Uwe and Hannelore Romeike fled Germany in 2008 after being threatened with prosecution for homeschooling their five children.

Remember the Romeike family? They were granted asylum when they fled to the United States after they chose to break a Nazi-era homeschool law in Germany and give their children a Christian education.

If they were returned to Germany, they'd face fines, jail-time, and the loss of their children.

The Biden administration thought that sounded pretty good and revoked their asylum after it had been granted by a judge in 2010.

Included in the previous article was a petition in their defense, and it just so happened that said petition reached the ears of Congress, particularly Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn, who went to bat for them with the Secretary of Homeland Security, and Rep. Diana Harshbarger.

The Romeike's have received a 1-year stay of removal, while Harshbarger and Blackburn push Congress to pass a bill that would give them permanent resident status.

Blackburn said,

As millions of illegal aliens cross our southern border, the Biden admin has worked to remove the Romeike family, who came to TN legally after being persecuted for homeschooling. Following my letter & the work of so many, I am glad ICE has granted a 1-year stay of removal.

In his actual speech, Biden broke his $100 billion proposed aid package down like this: $10 billion for Israel and $60 billion for Ukraine. Of the remaining $30 billion, some for Taiwan; some for “humanitarian aid” (Hamas); and some for “our own border security.”

Last night, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) tweeted a response video saying she’d heard that the actual bill directs the requested border money not to the border, but to big blue cities like Chicago, Philadelphia and New York, to help accommodate even more illegals. Brilliant.

Yesterday, outstanding Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tn.) announced an amendment that will issue a flurry of congressional subpoenas on prominent issues like Justice Sotomayor (relating to sources used in the justice’s recently-published book), and maybe most electrifying, a subpoena to Jeffrey Epstein’s estate for the Pedo Express flight logs.

Senator Marshburn has thrown down the gardening glove. It will take some delicate political maneuvering to defeat the Senator’s amendment or squash the Epstein subpoena using some other procedural mechanism. The game is afoot.

In response to the suspension of Berliner, Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) has announced that she is preparing to propose new legislation that would cut NPR federal funding if passed.

Sen. Blackburn said she is weighing a variety of legislative options to take on federal funding that goes to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), which provides funding to NPR in the form of grants.

She is specifically looking to prevent NPR from benefiting from taxpayer funds, due to its obvious left-wing bias.

“The mainstream media has become obsessed with doing the Left’s bidding and taking down strong conservatives — and NPR has led the pack,” Blackburn said in a statement.
