My son is pushing me hard on IBonds. It's kinda like free money while Inflation Rates are high. I just don't have the patience to manage them.

What kind of management is necessary?

Thank you, I have some money sitting in a checking out that I dont need. I am going to buy these, seems like a good deal to me.

I used to buy I series savings bonds online using my Discover Card. I would get 1% back for the purchase.

The government stopped allowing the purchase of bonds using credit cards.

I series savings bonds are a decent investment.

We are in the process of purchasing for the whole family. My only regret is that we did not do last year as well as it seems a good place to park an emergency fund.

Does anyone know if these bonds are protected assets if one files bankruptcy?

Not as far as I can tell. Just this in Ohio..
