https://notthebee.com/article/the-department-of-defense-just-released-an-equity-action-plan-and-im-sure-this-is-probably-the-most-important-thing-for-our-military-to-focus-on?source=patrick.net

Well, ladies and gentlemen, if there was any doubt that the United States military has been handed over to the ultrawoke lefties this makes it clear.

The Pentagon just released an "Equity Action Plan" which is meant to fulfill the leftwing, Marxist goals of providing diversity, inclusion, and equity.

From Fox News:

The Department of Defense issued an equity report, aiming to equalize outcomes for employees and partners across racial, sexual and gender lines.

The DOD released its equity report alongside all other departments of President Biden's administration this week. In the text, the DOD explained a series of procedural changes to better align with the White House's demands for "equity."

"While the Department has historically focused on increasing equity within the DOD community, the collective actions described in this plan represent a shift in the Department's approach and focus to better ensure that we leverage our capabilities to create opportunities for all Americans," the Department of Defense wrote in its report.

The White House has required all departments to put together a plan for "equity", which means Marxist equality of outcome, and I can't think of a more dangerous department embracing these ideals than the US military.

First, the DOD announced it will seek to rearrange its supply chain in order to open up opportunities for underserved communities. It will also bolster a variety of programs aimed at assisting those same communities in the area of military bases, such as American Indian initiatives and environmental efforts.

In February 2021, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered military leaders at all levels of command to facilitate "discussion of the principle that all those who support DOD's mission deserve an environment free of discrimination, hate and harassment."

The report continued, "This included a focus on how extremist or dissident ideologies violate the fundamental principles of the Department."

By "extremist ideologies" they don't mean radical leftists or BLM, they don't even mean radical terrorists. No, Secretary of State Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley have already made it clear that they are most worried about things like "white rage".

If you do not buy into the radical woke ideology of today then YOU are an extremist in the eyes of the Department of Defense.

In their list of accomplishments, the DoD bragged about their inclusion of transgender soldiers.

DoD took steps to ensure transgender individuals who wished to serve in the military and could meet the appropriate standards were able to do so openly and free from discrimination. The Department accomplished this by revising multiple policies to bring them into compliance with EO 13985 and EO 14004, Enabling All Qualified Americans to Serve Their Country in Uniform.

Military standards were changed in order to allow transgendered people to serve in the military.

And this is considered an accomplishment?

Also from the report:

Regarding the updated policies providing protection to transgender Service members, internal accountability on key issues focused on readiness, equity, evolving medical science, and organizational culture are reviewed by the Accession Medical Standards Working Group and Transgender Care Integrated Product Team.

"Equity" and "evolving medical science" are determining factors in letting men who think they are women, or women who think they are men, join the United States military.

What a woke joke.

I like how the Littoral Combat Ship now can deploy Standard Missile 6 which is used for surface to air, anti ballastic defense. and anti ship capabilities.

They also deploying similar capabilities on the LPD's as explained above.

I want to assure you that, as we edge closer and closer to the kinetic phase of World War III, amidst a critical recruiting shortfall, our country’s top generals have their priorities straight. They are on it. Don’t believe me? Take a look at yesterday’s Fox article headlined, “Pentagon asks for $114M to spend on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility in 2024.” It’s the most they’ve ever allocated for DEI! And just look at these lovely, body-positive uniformed "ladies" (don’t you dare call them ‘fat’):

Fox reported that the DOD’s DEI funding request “is the largest of its kind yet.”

Thank. Goodness.

Diversity is our secret weapon. The Russians and the Chinese don’t even use diversity, if you can believe that. They fill their armies with patriarchal, native-born, high-testosterone alpha males. They don’t even force recruits to walk a mile in high heels or memorize the pronoun chart. Ze, zhir, zim, Om, orr, ogg … wait, I need to start over.

So Russia and China don’t stand a chance against our high-estrogen army. Thanks generals!

In unrelated news, also yesterday, a $1.46 billion-dollar P-8A Navy sub-hunter overshot the runway and sank into Kaneohe Bay. Not that it matters, but unconfirmed reports claimed it was a diverse all-female crew. Hey, it’s a big, unwieldy plane! Landing it was kind of like trying to park an extended-cab F250 while checking your makeup.

Or maybe the crew thought the plane could hunt submarines even better from the water.

I once visited a Canadian Coast Guard ship and an American GC cutter during the Fleet Week in SF and was surprised to see that although the size of two ships was comparable, Canadian one had much more serious weaponry, including stuff like Harpoon AShMs, while USCG cutter only had someting like 76mm cannon and a Phalanx. So there is definitely room for beefing up some of American hulls.

I watched the Macy's Day parade and Al Roker did a phone call(?) with Joe and Jill Biden. Al asked them what their message was to America and both said that we need to bring America together. Too rich. They've been dividing Americans for decades.

Air Force base purportedly tells members to steer clear of conservative event, warns participating with such groups "could jeopardize their continued service in the US military"

I wish this were a joke, but it's not.

The leadership of an Air Force base in North Dakota issued a text alert to service members, cautioning them about the "risks" of attending a downtown rally featuring a speaker from the mainstream conservative organization Turning Point Action.

They can fit "Navy type, Navy owned" weapons on US Coast Guard cutters. For the Coast Guard's National Security Cutter, there is a mission module section in forecastle or front which can deploy missiles. Also it's new Ocean Patrol Craft (or Argus class) can also deploy Navy weapon systems.

I read the Coast Guard's patrol boats are designed to deploy MANPADS and MANPATS.

And both cutter classes (National Security Cutter and Ocean Patrol Craft) can deploy Navy UH60 helicopters.

I also read that the Navy considers these cutter classes as part of its fleet, especially in regards to the littoral environment.

The Coast Guards new Ocean Patrol Craft and its National Security Cutter is somewhat similar to the Navy's littoral combat ship (LCS).

I think I heard from a friend in the Coast Guard that said the flight deck on the Ocean Patrol Craft can be fitted with the Naval Strike Missile.

And I read the Navy is trying to salvage some of its LCS fleet as far as reinforcing it with missiles.

https://news.usni.org/2023/10/25/littoral-combat-ship-fires-a-standard-missile-6-from-experimental-launcher

I also read the Navy is arming more of its ships such as the LPDs as well to increase the number of heavily armed navy vessels.

How to get promoted in today's military:

The military recruiting crisis is obviously driven by the demonstrable incompetence of political and military elites who so clearly despise those who die in their mismanaged wars on their behalf. It isn’t only an American problem. The already anemic Canadian military is experiencing an insoluble ten percent shortfall. The British military is similarly evaporating, and only managed to annoy zoomers by trying to pander to them with Fortnite and TikTok influencers; meanwhile the Royal Navy is having such a hard time attracting sailors that it is having to decommission frigates for lack of girlpower. Everywhere one looks in the post-West, young men are abandoning the regime.

To no one’s surprise, the recruiting crisis is particularly acute amongst the white male demographic. In fact the recruiting crisis is almost exclusively a result of young white men refusing to enlist, no matter how high the signing bonuses or how generous the benefits. Enlistment amongst blacks and hispanics remains flat as a board; it hasn’t gone down, but the financial inducements haven’t made it go up, either, despite all the diversity pandering.

Traditionally, white men have been the steel from which the spearhead was forged – they are vastly over-represented in the combat arms, and therefore also in casualties. The recruiting crisis therefore almost certainly means that the sharp end of the US war machine is growing rusty and dull, even as the logistical shaft – manned mostly by women and minorities, reliant on an industrial base hollowed out by generations of outsourcing and offshoring – grows worm-eaten and brittle.

The article in which officaldom admitted the awkward reality of white abandonment was written by a Pentagon knob-polisher who twisted himself into pretzels trying to insist that the crisis couldn’t possibly be a result of feckless command decisions throughout the Middle Eastern forever wars, or the vicious contempt the very modern major-generals have shown for their soldiers, whether with their vaxx mandates, their extremism stand-downs, their destruction of training standards to accommodate the sainted diversity (Ranger School: So easy a woman can do it!), or their prioritization of women and minorities for promotion at the expense of white men who can actually get the job done. No, the problem is ... right-wing media talking about these things, politicizing matters that have been declared apolitical, and thereby making the military look bad.

Why even have a military? Can't fight a foreign war (haram!), can't use it to secure the border (pussy commie tat us something something) and who's gonna invade us? MX? Canada? Our dear conservatve friends Xi Pingpong and Vlad Pukin? No, no, no and no. We should just go the Costa Rica way and live happily ever after! Works for them.

We're witnessing in real time why matriarchal/gynocentric societies don't last.

Also, the GWOT vets are talking to their nephews and sons about stop loss, endless deployments, the VA having only Rainbow flags and giving them the run-around, etc. Throw in DIE which the kids have personally experienced in K-12, and they get it. The Brass will throw them under the bus, promote them only under duress though they are twice as able, etc.

Given that no person with self-respect would want to join the drag-queen show that the US military has sadly become, enlistment requirements have been dropped to passing only middle school:

https://www.coffeeandcovid.com/p/skepticism-friday-february-9-2024

I’m getting intensely skeptical about the military’s future in this country. Presented without much comment, because what can I say? From the Navy Times, two weeks ago:

Somewhere, in some remote conference room or war planning bunker, top Navy commanders weighed two options to fix the branch’s flagging recruitment problem: either stop queering the Navy, or else drop the requirement that enlistees pass high school. Between the two options, they decided dropping a high-school education was the way to go.

I mean, what did high school ever do for anyone anyway? Congratulations, middle-schoolers! You’re in.

Seriously, though, I suspect what’s really going on is the Navy is preparing to start accepting non-citizen foreign nationals who can’t document their high-school educations because they grew up in cartel-controlled Columbia or in the cracolândias of Brazil. But I’m only guessing.

Yep, similar to what the Union army did during the War Between the States. Maybe we can still call them "Zouaves."

Some woke skank Under Secretary at the VA issued a memo to pull down the photo, which adorns many VA lobbies and waiting rooms. It was reversed by the VA Chief after it was leaked, but no punishment for the administrator who ordered it.

The US Military Academy at West point decided to “upgrade” its mission statement this week by deleting the phrase Duty, Honor, Country that summarized its essential moral orientation. They replaced it with an oblique reference to “Army Values,” without spelling out what these values are, exactly, which could range from “embrace the suck” to “charlie foxtrot” to “FUBAR” — all neatly applicable to our country’s current state of perplexity and dread.

Are you feeling more confident that the US military can competently defend our country? Probably more like the opposite, because the manipulation of language is being used deliberately to turn our country inside-out and upside-down. At this point we probably could not successfully pacify a Caribbean island if we had to, and you’ve got to wonder what might happen if we have to contend with countless hostile subversive cadres who have slipped across the border with the estimated nine-million others ushered in by the government’s welcome wagon.
