I got a Model Y dual motor. Ordered it back in August and it arrived in January. The thing is a spaceship! The speed, acceleration, torque, regenerative breaking (especially the regen breaking!), infotainment/audio system, autopilot (didn't get FSD). Can't imagine the acceleration in the Performance model let alone the Plaid, it is already crazy fast for a mid-range model.

I believe USD demand is going to throw off lots of traders due to the fact it will take a massive # of USDs to unwrap the leverage that exist in
commodity shorts, metals and oil particularly. Due to a lack of non-discretionary dollars for the time being metals and crypto go sideways with more
odds of going down some while leverage that was used to short is slowly being pulled out and becomes dry powder to in time reinvest long provoking big
moves to the upside. Both gold and btc have very strong floors gold 1840+/- and btc 40k+/- which imo have tall odds of price being tested in those areas . The same for
oil dipping in price with the fact trader short leverage came in strong at >125 and then Bidens oil drain of US reserves taking oil to it's floor of $85+/- a barrel.

JPY is a main player in shorting commodities and it's weakness kind of indicates that leverage is slowly being closed. In the mean time I am very much looking
for the USD index to reach min. 101+/- and possibly 104+/-. The commodities are approaching the line at the christmas tree for the USD to pop to it's top
then it's epic crash and commodities enter it's epic super cycle. The commodities super cycle will only come if/when USD makes it's final approach to the upside
and imo it has not done so. Although this chart was plotted more with the idea of crypto moves it applies to commodities in general.

So with the shorts and supply chain issues USD is more fundamentally and technically setup to make a run up not dump as soon as many think. Same for S&P
which likely stays sideways but in time becomes another target of money flow when/while the exodus of USD takes place.

It's bad, but not too bad in IL. Had just under 1/4 tank and it was $92 to fill up yesterday. I drive basically the largest non-utility vehicle, truck or van you can drive. I don't blink as we make that in less than an hour, but yeah, my fill ups are at least 30-40% higher. It's nuts.

This is a massive tax on the poor and middle class. It's sad because I know people that are getting burned by this. We need to stop worrying about being "green" and let the market work itself out. I know there's been issues with oil, but does it matter? The huge BP leak in the Gulf of Mexico. That was near one of my favorite places on the planet. There is no difference 10 years later or whatever it has been. A fuck ton of oil was spewing out and the beaches look the same as they always have.

There's micro and macro. On a micro level, sure, some birds and other fish and wildlife got fucked up. But they'll recover. Macro, it's like dropping a penny in a 100k gallon swimming pool. No one will notice it.

We need to be energy independent. That's pretty much reason 1 or 2 that most conflicts arise from. Resources and or profits to get said resources to other people willing to pay for it.

Can you even live in CA for under $25/hr? I did the math and our family would need about $150/hr. We make that much, but had no interest in giving it to the state of CA or a modest house for $1M+ pretty much anywhere.

I think $25/hr would be a struggle in CA but I am thinking your average non-college educated Panda Express cook who makes $15-$17 an hour. Can’t afford an electric car.

I'm 1/2 a century old. I wouldn't consider my life that short, and without any question Biden is the worst president in my lifetime.

My parents thought Carter was the worst, they are in the 80's and I know without any doubt they consider Biden the worst in their lifetime. My grandmother thought Carter was the worst in HER lifetime, despite being a democrat, remembering FDR fondly..

If we had an honest election system, and we don't, I think Biden would be the death knell of the Democratic party. He might be anyhow. If my grandmother was still alive, she won't still be a democrat today with all it's craziness. It scared Nixon, who imposed wage and price controls in two phases between '71 and '72 to get re-elected and they abated a bit but were ineffective in the long run. Safely in office by '73, the controls were removed and with the Arab Oil Embargo, prices exploded to double digits every month in 1974 for a 13.4% yearly average and would set the tone for the rest of the 70's.

I just filled up my wife's Hybrid at $3.52/gallon and I thought that was HIGH (I'm used to paying in the $2.60-$2.70 for 87).

Gas prices are bad, but I think it's being a bit dramatized. Where I'm at gas prices have hit this level before. Lived through it just fine. Whether you love or hate Biden, at some point he'll be forced to fix the situation. Fact is leftist use as much or more energy thinking they're doing the "right" thing.
