MOSCOW (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared martial law in the four regions of Ukraine that Moscow illegally annexed and given additional emergency powers to the heads of Russian regions.

Putin didn’t immediately spell out on Wednesday the steps that would be taken under martial law, but legislation indicates it may involve restrictions on travel and public gatherings, tighter censorship and broader authority for law enforcement agencies.

Putin also didn’t provide details of the extra powers to be given to the heads of Russian regions under his decree.

It turns out they share many of the same loathsome ideological and personality traits, and have a similar "slash and burn" approach to political engagement. It's a new political marriage.

Well, the US (Victoria Nuland in particular) illegally arranged the Maidan massacre and removed the legitimate government of Ukraine to put in a US puppet.
The US puppet is committed to protecting the corruption of Hunter Biden in Ukraine (Burisima and Joe's threat to withdraw aid if Burisima investigated).
Not to mention the corruption of the sons of Pelosi, Romney, and Kerry in Ukraine.
The puppet then says he wants to join NATO, knowing that Russia has repeatedly said they will not have that on their border. The US would not tolerate Russian control of Mexico either.
It's the US that's forcing this war to continue, sending people to the meat grinder. Zelensky and Putin met to negotiate peace early on, but the US stopped it.
