I don't think the result is necessarily what you say. Afghanistan is not under US control, and Iraq is slipping out and soon may slip out completely. SA is the onoly success story, and even then we can question as to who owns whom. One perhaps can extrapolate this to Ukraine.

Explain the Opium production variances when we were in the country vs when we weren't. Just one example, but the point is to have someone, anyone in power who is sympathetic to US government interests. Doesn't matter how radical they are. We've installed puppets or funded radicals in almost every Middle Eastern country at some point.

I guess I'm saying success is irrelevant, it's intent that's concerning. Especially when it causes the amount of destabilization and suffering that has gone on in the region for 20 years now. Ukraine's future is Iraq if they don't kick out foreign influence.

??? Taliban, I think, are getting rid of poppies from what I hear reading my favorite Al Nusra news. US-supported regime was growing them like mad. That was my point, the US policy outcome is diametrically opposite from what US at least claims it wants (= install supposedly "democratic" cronies who would follow US policies).

Agree about intent, but if they fail in their intent that is good, no? Taliban is an example of their failure, and I think the US geostrategists will fail more and more since they seem to be retarded and woke (or I don't understand them). Brandon armed Taliban because of woke advisors, and now Taliban has a professional, well-armed force so chance of a serious civil war is low. Wholeheartedly agree, they should kick out both Russians and the collective West. My prediction from talking to quite a lot of Ukrainians is that this is exactly what they will try to do. Use West to kick out Russians then kick out the West.

This sounds similar to the Afghanis using the West to kick out Russia and then kicking out the West. Worked for them.

Zelensky doesn't give a fuck about the Ukrainians. I hope the Ukrainians realize what a fucking traitor he is, and tear him limb from limb.

MOSCOW, Sept 5 (Reuters) - A Russian-installed official in Ukraine's Kherson region said on Monday that plans for a referendum on joining Russia had been "paused" due to the security situation, Russian state-owned news agency TASS reported.

What happened? The SCHMO is going as planned, right? .... Right?...

In fairness though, I can't see what took the Russians so damn long, esp. in the initial phases. Probably a lot we don't know, like pre-deployed mercs in ambush with ATGMs, but still.

Russia is fully aware that they are at war with "the west".

Time is on their side. They will cut off energy supplies and let the population freeze to death and encourage revolt.

The people in Europe SHOULD revolt. All their "leaders" are traitors anyhow. Going to take some pain and deaths though for the population to recognize it, despite it being obvious. You know how much it matters to France, Ireland, England, Italy, Spain, Finland, etc for Ukraine to be bombed to them? Not a bit. But their "leaders" will drive their population into destitution over it because that's what the US intelligence agencies want.
1404   RWSGFY   2022 Sep 6, 10:40am

A billboard campaign has been launched in Russia with the text “we will return the borders of 1945”.

Before the war, Russia demanded all NATO troops to move West of the old Iron Curtain.

These are the borders they want.

They wish to dominate half of the European continent.

And I thought he brought it down wit a lit vodka fart.

Those Ukrainian cannon fodders all look like they are stoned to the gills, waiting to be blown to bits. They must be one huge MKUltra experiment on getting barely trained conscripts to walk into the charnel fields. At least they are sedated.

Rumor is the tunnels under the steel factory in Mariupol were given up after the Ukrainian Nazi occupants ran out of drugs and couldn't stand the smell of the rotting bodies any more. When Russians went in, they found shooting galleries everywhere with syringes. It was an underground Nazi crack house.

Definitely a lot of weirdness at first, with the Russians almost getting to Kiev, then withdrawing and just keeping the Donbass.

And it seems to have stalled at that state.

1413   Ceffer   2022 Sep 6, 10:17pm

The Russians are not on a time table, they are about taking the fewest casualties and applying a rinse/repeat military strategy that works over time: pound the shit out of the Azov frontlines with endless rocket fire, blow them up in their trenches, terrify them and give them shell shock, disrupt their lines of support and comms, then send in infantries to mop the disrupted lines and nested units up. The highly trained Russian special forces will follow up on particular situations.
The ratio of Ukranian casualties compared to Russian casualties is some crazy figure like over 20 to one. They say that most Ukrainian soldiers who die do so without ever seeing a Russian soldier on a battlefront.

Yet the Russians already have as many KIA'd soldiers in a few short months as the US lost in Vietnam in 8+ years.

I know Russia has a history of just spamming the board with cannon fodder to overwhelm their foes, but damn.......that is a fuck-ton of dead Russians just to gain a few more NATO countries on its border.

They don't have high birth rates anymore, so the strategy will not work, and they have not learned the newer ways of conducting warfare.

Image below is supposedly from official Russian memo: 48759 dead in Army alone. This does not include mobilized from Donbass or Vagner mercenaries, or Interior ministry forces. For @Ceffer "fewest casualties" is most definitely not true.

1416   Bd6r   2022 Sep 7, 8:41am

And more for "minor, minimal, nonexistent" Russian casualties from recent Ukrainian advances in Kherson/Kharkov areas:

https://t.me/TheDeadDistrict/141
1417   Ceffer   2022 Sep 7, 9:04am

Nobody will know the real casualty rates until after the fact. I did watch a video along a railway where Russian forces dispatched 20 Ukrainian soldiers, killing 18 and capturing two, without apparently coming close to taking any casualties in return. The kill and wound ratios favor the Russians and that is hard to gaslight. Ukrainians insist on their absurd propagandas, which I assume is to keep shoving their soldiers into the charnel fields. The credibility ratios also favor the Russians, with the Ukrainians choosing the paths of greatest deception. They'll have children bringing down Russian drones with slingshots next.
