It's all about demographics, kiddies! And that shit -- despite misconceptions people seem to hold otherwise -- doesn't 'turn on a dime', either.

Perhaps the biggest change in recent years is this: the United States now has an interest in a Russian assault because it would be Russia’s last war.

Demographics have told us for 30 years that the United States will not only outlive Russia, but do so easily. The question has always been how to manage Russia's decline with an eye towards avoiding gross destruction. A Russian-Ukrainian war would keep the bulk of the Russian army bottled up in an occupation that would be equal parts desperate and narcissistic and protracted until such time that Russia’s terminal demography transforms that army into a powerless husk. And all that would transpire on a patch of territory in which the United States has minimal strategic interests.

That’s rough for the Ukrainians, but from the American point of view, it is difficult to imagine a better, more thorough, and above all safer way for Russia to commit suicide.

Makes sense and we have a POTUS that likely can't even drive a car anymore. So it's not like we'd do anything.

So, on the one hand, we have the insane Globlists trying to eliminate 90 percent of the world's population, but Russia has a population deficit crunch which dooms it by demographics alone? Can't the fiendish fiends make up their minds? More people or less?

Those alleged new borders would give Russia quite a corridor of influence between the Baltic and Black seas.

When Russia collapses, China will likely take its territories. They already de facto own a lot of Russian Far East.

So, will New Tartaria be Chinese or Slav? Where is Atilla the Hun when we need him?

Russia could easily support a billion people with its massive land and many rivers. They are beneficiaries from global warming as well as major fossil fuel producers.

Their problem seems to be deeply entrenched corruption.

Russia has what the Globalists want: a few criminal oligarchs overseeing a manageable sized enslaved population.

Good point. They have already arrived at Bill Gates utopia.

They go north, I think. Why is that the wrong way?

If it rains and you can contain/control, water is the cheapest way to move stuff. Moving tons with a couple of engines is cheap as HT mentions. You'll burn through $1k just taxiing with Jet-A for 10 min on departure for a plane. Speed is the biggest issue, but that's why supply chains are so important. Negate speed and make sure deliverable product gets there slow and steady at the cheapest price.

The rest go the wrong way to be used for riverine commerce.

I still don't get why you say they go the wrong way. They are quite long and can link a lot of cities.

BTW, my paternal family came here from Ireland because my g-g-grandfather's brother was a contractor on the I&M Canal linking Lake Michigan to the Mississippi. The railway came through and put it out of business a few years after it was completed, which seems to argue that rail travel is cheaper. Definitely faster, and less resistance to motion.

Sounds like airships may have a use here.
14   Patrick   2021 Dec 29, 11:09pm

I think it takes significant energy to steer airships against the wind, but if you can go with the wind, then it's pretty much free I'd imagine.

Same for rivers. The secret of Amsterdam and Cairo is that they have north-flowing rivers, but the wind generally blows north to south. So you put down the sails and go north, put up the sails and go south.

Who cares. The cabal that runs the United States is just killing all of us with these stupid wars. Russia will fight a war of attrition and just allow the US to continue to bankrupt the entire nation for something 99.99% of the US population has no stake in. The Middle East has been doing this for 2 decades now.

I bet if it came to war in Ukraine, Russia wouldn't even cut off their energy exports to Europe although the US might sabotage these pipelines and then attempt to blame Russia.

The United States is causing this conflict, not Russia. It's just another example of the insanity that runs this nation. The US has bombed 7 nations over the last 20 years - has this in any way benefited this nation?

Russia is a shit hole. They got nukes. Yes they did well on space exploration, but now a weirdo from South Africa is beating all nations in space travel (with subsidies). Outside of natural resources, Russia is a wasteland of depressed alcoholics that jump in front of cars. They honestly should just sell themselves to the highest bidder and live a better life at the hands of people that know how to manage things without massive corruption.

Perhaps true - what they should do is kill all their oligarchs. Something we ought to do.

And it costs as little as 1/100th as much to transport goods via water than land.

How can this be?

The energy requirements to roll a wheel can't be higher than the energy requirements to plow through water.

I just read a blog post today that says Russia is the last Christian nation on earth. I think we should be more focused on morals over nationalism, as it's pointless to be American if majority of population believes Western Culture is evil, and allows illegals to supplant us.

The United States is the most mind controlled country on the planet. You have only to look at our last election and the forces behind it to believe it.. They even have us focused on spreading our mind controlled ideology all over the planet. Once you seldom leave your home, and all the inputs entering it, like TV INTERNET PHONE, are totally controlled as they are (they can simulate a voice like your best friends and you won't even know your talking to a computer) YOU WILL BE EFFECTIVELY IN A MATRIX. With advanced computers you will be watching the news and your neighbor also will be watching the same channel but seeing a totally different spin on the same story. Sounds far fetched. Perhaps its already here as YOU ARE READING THIS! oh my!
