Here is the 'Outer Limits' episode were a guy is living in a post-apocalyptic halodeck where Natasha Henstridge plays the Avatar for the AI which runs the simulation as well as the life support system.
Like a stereotypical loser from any ex-Machina predecessor, the protagonist gives Natasha near total "human consciousness" but then in place of keeping her around as a server maintenance droid, he decides to boink her and then all the jealously breaks loose, since he's banging all sorts of AI hotties in his virtual world, in addition to the sole AI which is keeping him alive.
This is why these shows never make sense to me.
If it were me and let's say humanity was wiped out, since that this point in time, given society's reaction to Covid, including the educated ones who believe in the mRNA shit, I'd be happy to observe the end of the human race with me as the sole survivor in my own halodeck.
And I most likely won't be banging the server program which is keeping me alive to begin with.
