Assume ALL "allowed" apps in the app stores still remain because they agreed to log & snitch. Just because some app like Signal claims they use end to end encryption does not mean they actually do. The software is very difficult to audit by any end user, and they can push an update at any time, meaning just because it passed an audit today does not mean it will tomorrow.

Big brother is watching. You will need to learn how to disguise and encrypt your communications if you are using any platform that They have any control over. We are probably already past the point where all major commercial certificate authorities are compromised and using a cert signed by an in-house CA is safer.
