My good friend got covid three weeks ago along with his entire household.

He said it was so mild (slight headache and minor body ache) that he wouldn’t have even noticed it if his wife and kids weren’t feeling the same.

As such they got tested to find they were all positive. The worst part was the anxiety of passing it to the 80yr old grandparent who recovered from it quickly with only minor discomfort.

There is no asymptomatic spread. Please refrain from lies on this forum. There is a theoretical potential for asymptomatic spread which is similar for most viral diseases but in practice so rare that it's hardly ever proven/documented. For public safety any theroetical asymptomatic spread is completely irrelevant. The maskless woman is absolutely right, everybody without symptoms could walk around without masks and it would not change anything. 80%-90% of all transmissions are within households.

I’d do this but the issue is that firstly the store could rightfully throw me out for trespassing and secondly they are handing out $100 fines for not wearing a mask and I don’t feel like paying that or the court fees to fight it.

So my baby sis finally caught the rona. I'd posted on here several months ago that she's a charge nurse for one of the largest hospitals in TX. Each wave her building is flooded with covid patients.

She said a nurse she worked with kept coughing on the phone she had to also use and that nurse turned out positive. A couple days later so did she.

It took this fucking long for her to get it. I'd argued with her a few months ago that she probably had it and didn't notice. Actually, she said it's not affecting her (see what I did there, I used affecting correctly lol) and her allergies to mountain cedar are what's bothering her. Sinus issues aren't a covid symptom. But they're making her stay home.

I'm sure you've heard me say before I only wear a mask when I'm asked to by an employee of the business I'm frequenting. That includes airports and airplanes. Flying out of DEN today some dumbass(passenger in the luggage line) tried to tell me to put a mask on. I wasn't sure who he was, weird looking jacket, so I asked if he worked there. Couldn't really hear his response, something was obstructing his voice, but I heard him continue droning on about masks, so I turned around and ignored him.

Kind of glanced back and saw him flagging down an airline employee to tattle-tale on me. Of course nothing happened, and a minute later he saw me walk right up to a ticket counter and start checking my bags with a very nice airline employee, still sans mask.

I don't wear a mask so people remember it's a choice. But in this case I think it was so a control freak learns trying to interfere in someone else's life just makes him a dick.

It's airborne, you'd just have to be in a phone booth with someone for 20 minutes to get infected without touching them. I'm totally convinced it's airborne particles that are on surfaces. Almost everyone I know that's gotten it, they believe it's been through physical contact either directly with the person (spouse/kid) or surfaces they touch. Through backwards contact tracing almost none of them spent much time around the person they found out was infected. All anecdotal, but it's pretty consistent over the 50 people that I know have gotten it. IL has been bad the last 2 months. Almost every day I'm hearing about someone getting it. Fun fact though is that none of them feel that bad if they even notice it.

The Rona isn’t dangerous to almost everyone. Certain very unhealthy and/or very old people get very sick with it.

It's around 17% or so of which half are just not showing symptoms yet. So in reality less than 10%. And that's a computed number as asymptomatic transmissions are close to impossible to prove. That's the high mark if you want to believe mainstream !SCIENCE! It's likely much lower.

Let's say he's lying, I know he's not. Who cares? I've said it over and over here, the cat is out of the bag. It's fucking insane to think we can "stop" a virus that's likely infected well north of the 80 something million people to date across the world. It's likely double to triple that. You likely have 20m people today walking around with a virus that is so minor most people barely notice it. Sinus infection, slight aches and fatigue.

Masks are extremely problematic as well. You already touch your face more than you think. Now add in mask adjustments, and taking it on and off. You touch a surface with a viral load and you're just slapping that shit near where you intake said virus. There's no logic behind it. Americans are generally not close people. So without masks we're not close enough most of the time to spread it to others. It goes wrong when sick dip shits leave the house and rub the shit on door knobs, credit card readers, etc. The maskless woman was 100% correct. There's really no conversation to be had.

With regards to knowing healthcare workers I know plenty. I hang out with two on a regular basis every weekend pretty much. No masks. Sharing food. Touching the same utensils. Smoking joints and bowls. I'm not a hugger, but my wife has hugged them. Have played yard games. One currently is a nurse in a Covid unit. Most intelligent healthcare workers know what this is. A cold.

Does anyone want someone to die, no. But this kills old, unhealthy (likely self inflicted in many cases) people. You'd be better off promoting healthy eating and lifestyle instead of pumping facemask wearing by the masses. It does nothing.

Yes, but we are dealing with a media induced insane populace. Last week I walked into the company accounting building with my mask in my shirt pocket instead of on my face. Even though I was just there for a few minutes, a couple of clowns ran to the boss after I left all hysterical about how they were going to get sick and die. I ended up getting 2 days off without pay, mostly because the boss had to "do something" fearing these employees might call some government agency or even sue. I also had to get a Covid test, which came back negative. Never any symptoms.

Even though intelligent people know this Covid is an overblown hoax, you have to deal with a drunk on power government who will fine and shut you down, plus the brainwashed minions all around you.
