Let's cut the crap, Kamala Harris is not a 'diversity' win but a loss

Ok, here's why ... the so-called black side of her family owned slaves. Well, there goes the historic oppression label.

Next, she's half South Indian on her mother's side. If anyone knows anything about the South Asian diaspora, marrying a black person is basically being disowned by the community which also has some racism, see Indo-Aryan (half-Persian) as the racial ideal (ala Bollywood fetish) and that of African-Americans ... the bottom of the barrel.

Yes, her Tamil grandparents would rather have had her mother marry a white British officer or a Chinese man from Malaysia, over a black guy. I'm sorry but this is true even though no one will publicly say it. FYI, I know of two Tamil families who'd disowned a daughter for marrying an African-American and this was back in the 90s; I'd hate to see what it was like back in the 60s.

The above was obligatory, as Kamala is not going to get the Asian nor Black vote but the loser Democrat vote of states which always votes Democratic, see California, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New York.

The Asians who care about getting a quality candidates, which is a lot of them, will not be fooled by her race baiting nor will a lot of African-Americans nor Hispanics.

Basically, this is a way of losing the states which count ... Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota, Indiana, etc.

No one cares about getting more votes in California, New York, or Massachusetts.

Bingo. I don't get the pick. If you were looking for a POC you should have been looking in states like OH, FL, WI, MI, etc as you mention. At the end of the day I don't think it much matters though because we elect Presidents and not VP's. Biden is not POTUS material no matter how hard they're trying to spin this shit. Trump is Trump. I actually find Pence a bit creepy. He also reminds me of my wife's boss who I dislike extremely.

She still deserves reparations from the descendants of William Lloyd Garrison!

I believe in this case, much of the nation is unconsciously aware that Biden has early onset dementia. No amount of spin is changing that as nearly everyone in the country has lost a friend or family member to that illness and know the symptoms.

And thus, unlike most Presidential elections, this time around, ppl are voting for the VP because it's highly unlikely that Biden will make it for more than a year or two in office. With that stated, a vast majority of the country will sleep better, knowing that if anything happened to the Don, that Pence will do an all right job, keeping the ship going till the next election cycle. I doubt the same will happen for Harris.

Realize, Kamala is neither Barack nor Michele Obama. The latter have the personalities, perhaps not the policies, to get the POC vote to get excited about them. Kamala is just a drive to get the discouraged Massachusetts voters to come out and vote for Biden. And we all know that the Dems don't need more votes from a deep blue state,

Ppl in the midwest, Asian, Hispanic, or Black, vote moderate to conservative. Kamala is an insult to them, as she's a race baiting type with little more than being a mean-spirited POC who plays the female card, the black card, and the South Asian/Indian card, and as a corollary, will try to extend that card into the east Asian diasporas which no one is going to buy into.

True, except some commies.

These are the private college/Ivy League/Univ of California Asians, who believe that their best bet is to support all the campus pro-Democrat initiatives. This is called being fooled/swept up in identity politics.

Otherwise, most are not communists.

While I kind of agree, I don't think it really matters. No one in the midwest wants a CA commie cunt. As you've said, she ain't moving the needle in any swing state that matters and will "maybe" get Biden the popular vote, which we all know means dick. Fact is if you don't believe the nominee can make it 4 years if elected, you probably aren't going to vote for that person. I personally think this election is going to be a blood bath and Covid disappears 11/4. Hopefully we're back to normal then. Sick of the temper tantrums and fake outrage. As a society, everyone is better off than they were 20 years ago even. Stop bitching and grow up.

I wonder how the pair will move forward with the campaign? It'll look weird if Harris is out banging the drum (or banging other things ... you never know) but Biden remains cowering in his basement. Or maybe Biden comes out of hiding and all will see how feeble he is on the campaign trail. Or maybe both of them go into hiding (so Harris doesn't show up Biden); that can't work because then people will wonder why Harris is hiding (we already know why Biden is hiding).

One way forward would be for Biden to step down and Harris to become the putative nominee. Or, the whole thing could be flipped to Pocahontas at the convention.

I think it's the opposite. If let's say a Klobuchar or someone else was in the VP slot then a few more midwesterners may consider the Democratic ticket to be more moderate and possibly come out and vote, even though Biden may step down for 2024 due to health reasons.

Harris, on the other shoe, is a turn off to the midwestern mindset which doesn't like being played as 'racists' and now, against blacks, Asian Indians, and women. And realize, the midwest is not a white bloc, African-Americans and Hispanics make up a large percentage of cities like Milwaukee, Cleveland, and Minneapolis and know when they're being played.

Kamala Harris is that nasty woman at your husband’s work who looks down on you at the Xmas party because you have kids and who tries to hit on your husband to get ahead.
