Defense stock earnings continued as General Dynamics (GD) topped fourth-quarter estimates early Wednesday. Northrop Grumman (NOC) and Raytheon (RTN) will report quarterly and year-end results Thursday.

Estimates: Analysts saw General Dynamics fourth-quarter earnings climbing 12.7% to $3.46 with revenue up 2% to $10.6 billion.
Results: General Dynamics earnings rose to $3.51 a share. Revenue climbed 3.8% to $10.77 billion.
General Dynamics is a top provider of land weapons, building Abrams tanks, the Stryker family of vehicles, and Light Armored Vehicles. It's also a top shipbuilder for the Navy and its Electric Boat unit makes the Virginia-class and Columbia-class submarines.
Stock: Shares fell 1.7% to 180.46 on the stock market today. General Dynamics stock is forming a flat base with a 193.86 entry point, according to MarketSmith analysis.
