There's been an uptick of derelict RVs in the neighborhood occupied by problematic homeless. They dump their black tanks right in the gutter where they park, leaving a telltale flow of shit and toilet paper mush, which my mechanics drive through before needing to remove wheels.

Some of these have erupted in flames (carelessness, not arson.) Others get impounded. I'm a regular at the local impound auction; the interiors are SO foul you can't even stick your head inside while holding your breath. Stuffed to the roof with absolute TRASH, and a thick layer biohazard-looking grime on every surface.

Shooting and shitting galleries on wheels! I'm sure that these are all occupied by upstanding citizens with jobs.

A few months back when I was out of job, I was seriously considering moving into an RV and renting out my house to keep myself financially viable. Luckly I was able to find a job after a few months of unemployment. Now I make $220K an year and live in a $2M house, but with only $50K in emergency savings, I am six months of unemployment away from living in an RV.

Most of the money I make is going to paying off the mortgage on the house and I am looking forward to the day when my mortgage is fully paid off until then if I were to get axed from my job again and couldn't find another job in six months, I would definitely be moving into a cheap RV.

The $2M house was worth $1M when I bought it. I am $300K away from paying it off.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that RV dwellers wouldnt be a big problem if they were all $millionaires going through temporary cash crunch like yourself.

I have far fewer months of safety cushion in savings a present; we're somewhat in the same boat in that respect.

However, you and I would not dump our black tanks on the street, spend our days gathering broken bikes, TVs, and other literal garbage and strewing it around our parking spot, use and deal heroin and other hard drugs, attract and maintain a crowd of scumbags that fan out into the neighborhood committing property crimes, park on private property and cuss out and threaten the owner and refuse to leave until the police come in response to a polite request to leave, and some of the other neighborhood-blighting behaviors these scumbags do day in and day out.
