I felt the same way until Rogue One came out.

I was amazed how Disney didn't fuck that up until I also saw Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

Dunno why they fucked up everything else but not those.

You're right - despite some obvious woke content, Rogue One was actually good. I was pleasantly surprised.

It’s become an all-purpose epithet, even for whites, perhaps most famously deployed against “Shri Thanedar.” But it applies to “Lumumba Bandele,” who works for fellow Lucasfilm creation “Zohran Mamdani” [who is married to “Rama Duwaji” (Endor) and has an intern named “Arzoo Malik” (Coruscant)]. I’m sorry, but are these names really more odd-sounding to the average American than “Beezer Fortuna” or “Count Dooku”?

It’s not that we hate outsiders, in fact Americans are outstandingly polite hosts to folks who really want to be here and are grateful for the opportunity. We’ll even let you be Vice President if you’re married to a Star Wars Name. But in 2026, if you start off telling us that we’re oppressors, or tell us how to run our country, you’re getting called a slur, and if you’re lucky it’ll only be “Star Wars Name.” If you don’t like that, consider going back to where you came from (Tatooine).
