For example, when students were asked whether the First Amendment protects “hate speech,” 4 in 10 said no. This is, of course, incorrect. Speech promoting hatred — or at least, speech perceived as promoting hatred — may be abhorrent, but it is nonetheless constitutionally protected.

Most comments in jail belong there.

I see many in comment jail that have nothing uncivil about them. I would bet that they were sent there by vengeance or retaliation.

Yes and I don't believe the abuser has had their button taken away. Unless of course someone is lying about not being ironman.

State your proof or you are the one who is lying.

Let's see if this gets jailed for incivility. Debt is NOT slavery! It's an obligation to pay back some money. Slavery is MUCH MUCH worse. I'm sure interviews with former slaves and former debtors would establish this.

The moderator of the topic will be able to free comments from jail, or I can do it.

Patrick, you smell of too much garlic. Please jail this comment for incivility, and then free it. PS I like garlic.

That's kind of scary how little people appreciate rights they never had to fight for. So many countries are in bad shape, because they have no rights. And we Americans here take them for granted.
