Yep, the great nuclear pissing match has begun.
North Korea threatens strike on Guam

So you guys are seriously worried about a nuclear strike on the usa? You are actually losing sleep over it? Are you preparing to leave the country and get as far away as possible?
Unknown whether N Korea has a tough enough nose cone, fully miniaturized warhead, and accuracy to deliver on their ICBM. They've miniaturized components. Their missile program has leaped forward.
They are, at this time, still relying on much more conventional deterrents to prevent an attack on themselves (unknown numbers of conventional artillery pieces pointed at Seoul).
What is disturbing though is the trajectory Trump seems to be on for whatever his first real crisis will be. He doesn't appear to know how to de-escalate tensions. That should have all Americans a little uneasy. I also think it is horribly irresponsible of the current administration to not have a better conversation with the US people about just what the N Koreans capabilities are. To komputodo, there are many many scared people in the nation right now who believe N Korea can nuke the US. Why shouldn't there be? Has anyone, loudly, declared they cannot?
A better president would have said words like, "These are old wounds that have never healed. To a degree both the US, N Korea, and others are to blame because it appears we have lacked a willingness to want them to heal. I want to assure the international world that the US will not take first strike action unless there is no other option. N Korea should hear the unified voice that the broad international community of nations just spoke with. Countries will not reward each other for aggression and isolationism. I hope N Korea can join the spirit of peace and cooperation, joining other nations, and backing away from a path that harms her neighbors, and especially herself. I know N Korea's neighbors would be receptive to the country making steps in that direction and so would we. An existence alone, backed only by fear and force, should be weighed against the alternatives."
The grave problem is the US has a very weak President. He lacks a potent weapon in his arsenal: diplomacy. One questions if keeping fear and tension high are politically motivated. Certainly they are for N Korea. Is the same now true of the US?

Fixed it for you.
Trump "lacks a potent weapon in his arsenal:", a brain.
An even better fix.
How much damage did ~20 Saudis do to the economy over the last 16 years?
They were terrorist & we've been fighting them constantly. War does line the pockets of a few.
They just had commercial airplanes.
What kind of damage can K J-un do with nuclear weapons, estimates up to 60?
Forget the physical destruction, all the gungho-edness can't protect your wallet.
When nuclear weapons detonate at ground level or below, the radiation immediately dissipates & does not enter the jet stream to land in Red States.
Bet American allies, who will suffer the brunt of retaliatory action from N.K. won't be happy after idiot Trump's first strike.
What puzzles me is why NK is treated as some kind of independent entity. It's been Russia's/China's proxy since the very beginning and remains such. Just inform the Russian/Chinese fucks that anything launched from NK towards US territory (or military installation) would be met with full-blown nuclear retaliatory strike on Moscow and Beijing and be done with it. US managed to contain USSR for many decades, this changes nothing. As long as US refuses to play silly proxy games, of course.
