Yes,I really want to work with co-conspirators.
Love a good defense of a Bad!, Awful! Not Nice! Republican Party & it's Trump.
They better worry about what they are doing to the American people.
All it takes is a few pissed off.
We don't need any form of gun control as long as Rep/Cons are hurt, maimed, killed.

Guns don't kill Republicans; pissed off voters kill Republicans.

I've seen this line of malarkey a few too many times to let it pass. the 2nd amendment isn't the right to kill people with guns. It's the right to defend yourself.

Warning: intent of the law and results of the law may vary.

Look to the bizarre ass AW ban legalities in California for a great example. I have no clue how regulations over a thumb hole in a stock and overall length somehow make anything better with regards to gun violence in the state. Silly.

The reason is because of Heller vs DC, California politicians (and those in New York, Maryland) know they cannot ban weapons by CLASS (e.g - handguns, long rifles, etc).

They are attempting to get around that by implementing "feature" bans (pistol grips, flash hiders), but that will not hold up in the SCOTUS, especially with Gorsuch now seated. The NRA-ILA has already filed a lawsuit against California that will likely be heard by the 9th circuit against Prop 63. Given the reputation of the 9th, Prop 63 will certainly be upheld. However, at the SCOTUS, it is very likely Prop 63 will be overturned and the legality of "feature" bans will be destroyed.

And neither easy access to, or current proposed restrictions, make any of us safer. There is a major reason Bush senior is no longer an NRA member. That lobbying body cares about dollars, not lives or responsible firearms ownership.

We are failing hard here as a nation ... just like Healthcare.

How much longer before the US is no longer the envy of the world? 10 years? 15? 20? Already happened?

It all comes down to acting like a decent human being. No one wants to take the effort to do that anymore. The value system of millennials is so distorted these days, I don't find anything relatable.

Gun violence is because the upcoming generation has lost its way? Oh really? Tell me more.

Goran you sound a little bit like, "Get off my lawn! You dern kids!"

Absolutely, as evidenced by the recent rhetoric here. I wouldn't be surprised if there was another back channel email organization going on again.

There is nothing new under the sun in the method of governing people. The ink nary dried on our Constitution, as those with ill intent began plotting its undoing. Yes things change, yet in the manner of governance nothing changes. Every generation thinks it so wise, so forward thinking and ultimately simply screws it all up. Life is a gamble, there is no guarantee of safety, nor riskless environments. I suggest there is nothing within our Constitution, which poses a risk to the envy we enjoy globally....I would change not one word.

The 2nd is there to overthrow an abusive govt. & kill if necessary the enemy in that govt.
& it's co-conspirators. Militias?
Arming one's self to revolt & taking the revolt to the centers of govt. is an offensive action.
I know,I know. We are defending our rights,
from the power mad in power.
ASSHOLES voters should kill themselves.

George, that one may be better suited for the political incorrectness thread.

I don't think the 2nd Amendment was ever meant to be a law. Law's are made by central governments for the purpose of punishing law breakers. The 2nd Amendment was written by our forefathers as recognition of a God given right to self defense, and as a bulwark against legislation that would outlaw that right. The documentation this country was founded on was mostly a list of don't for government. Things are so ass backwards now, that concept is almost foreign to us.
