They are marching against Socialism you know?
Well let's get them up here to deal with all the Republicans that are on some form of their Big Govt. teat.
They are marching against Socialism you know?
They trying to end all Socialism in the world? Wow! Who knew?
I thought they were marching because an authoritarian dictator has failed to obey constitutional law, centralized power to himself, and is continuing disastrous economic policies at the continued misery of the people.
That's nothing. You should have seen the crowd at my inauguration. It was huge. Way bigger than this. It was the largest crowd in the history of the world. And nobody loves crowds more than me. Arnold Schwarzenegger is ruining The Apprentice. His ratings are in the toilet.

Really? Socialism has nothing to do with Venezuela's condition today?
Is Venezuela just another one of those countries that just did Socialism "wrong" and let an Authoritarian rise to power and ruin everything?
What is it with Commie/Socialist countries that always let authoritarians take over?
What is it with Commie/Socialist countries that always let authoritarians take over?
Because when you have a leader in Communism or Socialism.
There is a paradox of corruption just in practice.
As we even see in Socialist EU NGOs are the most powerful entity in the world. They can rape hotel Maids in Manhatan and prevail unscaythed.
They are not accountable to any vote or law. The leaders in Socialized society knows best, and they don't like being challened.
Because when you design your actions "For the Greater Good," every petty tyranny can be easily justified and even mandated.
That is the ultimate problem with communism. Leaders who believe they are morally justified by their system of government will have few restraints about turning the engine of political violence against anyone who objects to their policies.
Even passive objection becomes intolerable for the communist dictator, and people who don't fully embrace the party line get singled out for reprisal.
This is what the Venezuelan protests are about. The people are fed up with communists legislating "for the people."
Why bring the Turkeys into the discussion?

What is it with democratic countries that always let authoritarians take over? There are plenty of those, more than socialist countries. Putin and most of africa comes to mind.

Right - cause we all know that Africa and Putin's Russia are shining examples of "democratic countries".
"I fully support the Venezuelan protests, and I will immediately fly down to Venezuela to help the protesters. This may take some time, but I'll willing to sacrifice spending time with my wife to help these women, er, protesters." - Bill Clinton
False dichotomy. Socialism is an economic tactic that every country has to use. You cannot run an government, almost by definition, without some socialism. The question is how much and where. Socialism and tyranny are not related. A highly socialist country can be liberal or tyrannical, as can a country almost devoid of socialism.
That said, those who oppose socialism should first object to the large military the U.S. possesses as the U.S. military is by far the largest socialist program in all of human history. If you want to cut back on socialism in the United States, you have to start with the military.
A highly socialist country can be liberal or tyrannical, as can a country almost devoid of socialism.
A "highly socialist" country by definition is going to be tyrannical since the government has almost absolute control.
- no private property
- government ownership of the means of production
- price controls
Venezuela is running out of food and starving because the Socialist morons like Chavez and Maduro thought everyone has the "Right" to cheap sugar, eggs, flour and milk. So they enacted price controls and the farmers realized they can't make an "eeevil" profit at the set prices and stopped making these items that have price controls.

Socialism is a failure. Just ask Venezuela.
You end up with dictators that ruin the country, and eventually the citizens who are the victims have to revolt to get rid of them. Eventually, Venezuela will be replaced with a capitalistic democracy, and the people will improve their standard of living.
And Dan, you still won't learn no matter how many countries fail from socialism.

Or Bill O'Reilly.

You clearly do not know the definition of socialism if you think that.
- no private property
- government ownership of the means of production
- price controls
None of these things mandate tyranny. Not even the "no private property", which itself certainly is not necessary in a highly socialist economy. Your fantasies about what economic models are have nothing to do with the reality of economic models.
Furthermore, capitalists in America have proven time and time again that they are more than capable of creating tyranny and masquerades by owning the means of production.
Furthermore, capitalism and socialism aren't the only two choices. There are literally an infinite number of alternatives.
Finally, I address the question to you that no anti-socialist persons has ever have the balls to answer. If you are so against socialism, even small amounts, then would you slash U.S. military spending, which often tops at $1 trillion a year in direct costs and more in indirect costs, making it the largest socialist program in all of history?
Socialism is a failure. Just ask Venezuela.
The U.S. military, the highway transportation system, public sewers, fire departments, and police forces are all socialism. If socialism is failure, then all those things, by definition, must be failure. Are you really going to call any of those things a failure? Tell me why the U.S. military and police forces are failures. Go on.
If you don't, then you are contradicting yourself. Why should anyone accept self-contradictory opinions?
And Dan, you still won't learn no matter how many countries fail from socialism.
I could spend several pages of text listing all the failures of capitalism in the United States alone. Are you really going to take the stance that a few implementations of X failing means that X must always fail regardless of the implementation? If so, let's apply that theorem to all X, not just the X you don't like.

Successful socialism in Venezuela:

What a lot garbage you spew out. The military, the highway transportation system, public sewers, fire departments, and police forces are not countries.
We are a capitalist country, which is why we are so successful. Venzuelans would love to leave their failed system and migrate to good old capitalistic USA.
USA USA USA. I love you.
an authoritarian dictator has failed to obey constitutional law, centralized power to himself, and is continuing disastrous economic policies at the continued misery of the people.
This is how socialism ends.
The U.S. military, the highway transportation system, public sewers, fire departments, and police forces are all socialism.
No. That's called government. Socialism is public ownership production, typically involving economic destructive price controls on staples like food, shelter, or oil.
We are a capitalist country, which is why we are so successful.
Capitalism was a word invented by the leftists as a pejorative. In reality, every economic system is capitalistic. FREE MARKETS are the difference in why our working class prospered in the USA as compared to Africa/Australia/Russia who all have enormous natural resources to work with.
What a lot garbage you spew out. The military, the highway transportation system, public sewers, fire departments, and police forces are not countries.
No shit. I didn't say that. Those things are all socialist programs. They are paid for by tax payers for the general population. That's the very definition of socialism.
We are a capitalist country, which is why we are so successful.
Now that's bullshit. There are plenty of poor capitalist countries and our country collapsed twice in the past 100 years and had frequent other depressions in the 100 years before that.
Our country is successful because
1. It has lots of land we stole.
2. It has lots of natural resources we stole.
3. STEM advancing technology.
4. Commerce, which isn't capitalism.
5. Lack of violent neighbors and other threats.
6. The destruction of Europe in WWII left an opening that only the U.S. had the opportunity to fill. That's luck.
7. Middle Eastern oil.
8. The petro dollar.
9. Cheap goods from China.
10. The progressive reforms of the early 20th century like the 40-hour work week, an end to child labor, worker safety laws, and lots of other regulations that capitalists opposed.
11. Social safety nets like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, food stamps, and assisted housing.
Our country succeeded despite capitalism. In fact, every successful program in the United States was passed through great opposition by capitalists.
Strategist, you really need to learn American history.

And where do you think the money to make all of above possible comes from? I'll give you 3 hints:
Capitalism Capitalism Capitalism.
And where do you think the money to make all of above possible comes from? I'll give you 3 hints:
Capitalism Capitalism Capitalism.
Capitalism doesn't make money. The Federal Reserve does. Capitalism merely redistributes money from the workers who create wealth to the owners who do not.
Dan, you are just a AMERICA HATER.
I could say the exact same thing about you. I am trying to make America better for all Americans by questioning flaws in the system and turning the voodoo art of economics into a precise science answerable to empirical verification. The fact that you are opposing such an effort and treating economic like a religion is more than just cause to consider you to be the one who hates America and is trying to hurt Americans.
Any good system can withstand questioning. Good systems are made better through questioning.
And real patriots try to change their country for the better. Without change, by definition, there can be no improvement.

You are so funny Dan. You are trying to make the best system we have, better, by adopting the worst system the planet has.
Do us a favor. Don't help us.
Capitalism doesn't make money. The Federal Reserve does. Capitalism merely redistributes money from the workers who create wealth to the owners who do not.
So where did all the money workers in socialist Venezuela made, go?
Capitalism Capitalism Capitalism.
Where's the jobs?
Pick a foreign country.
How about Venezuela? 27% unemployment. Spain 25% unemployment.
We are so unlucky to be in America with 4.5% unemployment.
Still whining about this?? If you have an issue with this, go quit your job tomorrow and start your own company, then you'll be RICH and won't have to whine anymore.
You're retarded if you think that capitalism is the only of an infinite number of economic systems that has jobs in it.
I thought they were marching because an authoritarian dictator has failed to obey constitutional law, centralized power to himself, and is continuing disastrous economic policies at the continued misery of the people.
You aren't very familiar with socialism, or it's logical conclusion, are you?
This is not Trump's inauguration crowd.
Trump /Republicans better pay attention.
