I caught part of the speech by Trump's yes-man and consummate ass licker - Spicer - today. He hinted that regime change was sort of planned, but they were not going to come out and say it and it was not a priority.
I'm not quite that cynical
I think that Trump and his closest circle (daughter and son in law) have heard enough details to side with what the pentagon, cia, etc. are telling them. They are likely go be encouraged by the very positive bump in the media and polls. Who knows, he might swing back based on what's in the media over the next few weeks, but my bet is that he keeps going in the more interventionist direction.
It can't be because of Raytheon stock. How much could he own? He's known to chase pennies here and there, but that seems kind of silly. Tax reform fast and furious is his best way to make a buck without too much notice. His club Trump patronization has to make him way more coin than any Raytheon stock bump could get. Plus, if his family were caught trading based on this, that would be definitely cause for impeachment.
It would be terribly ironic for him to start Iraq 2, though. That would be pretty weird given all of the campaign rhetoric.
