Enforcement of strict premarital chastity would make the hormonal pair-bonding of newly-wed women much more emotionally secure, while enforcement of strict monogamy would ensure that most men would be able to find a wife, thereby helping to harness male energy towards socially productive ends while also ensuring that most people are in relationships with someone they genuinely love. Elimination of no-fault divorce laws, justified on the grounds that women have a tendency to blow up marriages because they get bored, would further help to stabilize families. Stable families being optimal for child-rearing, we would likely see more children, and better-adjusted, emotionally healthier children, as a result.
