Hey Pat,

Not sure if you've noticed but this isn't showing up as secure:

https://patrick.net

This is:

https://patrick.net/edit.php

as are the links

Noticed it late last night on my PC (Both Firefox and Tor Browser) and my phone complained about it today on my android phone.

Thanks @just_passing_through please tell me more.

What do you mean by the home page not showing up as secure? Is it that you are not getting a little green lock icon next to the url?

I think that might be because some of the content is served from http (images from other sites) and browsers don't like that. Maybe I should download each image and serve it from my own site?

Last night I started making all of the pages redirect to https.

Yes, no green icon - yellow, but not on all pages.

The picture I just posted didn't break security. This post is green..

Ah so it is the third party images causing the warning. Hmmm. Not sure the best thing to do about that.

I guess I do have to download them when they get posted and then serve them from my own site if I don't want that warning. Unless someone knows a better way.

Shows up as insecure on all pages with my Android.

FWIW, I added an exception for https://patrick.net to prevent that. However interestingly in turtledove's thread about child support there are comments which link back to other patnet posts. If I click on one of those I get blocked again (Tor browser):

I'd have to add exceptions >1 times if you don't I suppose.

Yeah, it's just Tor being pickier than Firefox. I just ran the same steps.

I'll definitely add another exception haha...

Strange, some threads with images stay green, others with images have the yellow triangle...

Maybe it depends on whether those threads have https urls for all their images. If they do, then they probably show up green.

Can you post a screenshot?

In both threads, I add the images after saving them on my computer and then use the "Include Image" button.

That should be secure then.

Which threads are they? I'll look into it.

Just comes up as the site being insecure (blocks access on chrome for Android) and have to override it through the advanced settings. Shows as a red padlock and strikethrough of https when on the page.

Edit: this isn't always the case.
