This is a damning observation...

3   Tenpoundbass   2016 Aug 20, 6:36am

This has been the first year in 7 years where people are finally saying... "Oh um there is one more thing..."
And not just taking every cockamamie lie these assholes tell everyone relentlessly.

Can you explain where Khan claims not to be angry at terrorists? Here's the transcript that sent the Breitbart cesspool into conniption fits: http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1607/31/sotu.01.html

From the transcript: "the direct effect, the most effect of the terrorism in -- the menace of terrorism had been Muslims in the world. Muslims hate this menace of terrorism as much as any other place. It is our duty to keep this country, our country, beautiful country, safe.

We have always thought of that way. We will continue to do our part to keep it safe and beautiful.

What he cites in the name of Islam and all that, that is not Islam at all. I wish he would have -- somebody would have put something in his head that these are terrorists, these are criminals. These folks have nothing to do with Islam."

There's enough there for you to get quite a hard-on, huh? He calls out terrorism for killing "most(ly)" Muslims and that Muslims hate it. He defends his religion, and that winds you up, but where in all of this does he say he "is not angry at Islamic Terrorists that killed (their) son?" I'll wait.

I'm an atheist and I find Islam disgusting, more disgusting than other monotheisms, but you're just ignorant and cannot read.

Those folks have everything to do with Islam. Islam is a terrorist religion. It's laws are terrorism, torture, cruelty, and human rights abuse.

Did that.

We are mostly in agreement. Except, you respect him for being an American patriot, while i disrespect him for believing in sharia laws.

Not so much; I respect him for recognizing that Trump is a vapid fool and a coward.

Strategist says

i disrespect him for believing in sharia laws.

The same disrespect I have for all monotheisms. So why do you think it is necessary for Trumpkins to put false words in Khan's mouth?

10   HEY YOU   2016 Aug 20, 8:26am

Kahn's free to criticize Trump,1st Amendment and all.
People are mad because it's the truth?

Another 1st example: FUCK DEMOCRATIC & REPUBLICAN VOTERS!

Why didn't g.w.bush & republicans keep Saudi terrorists out of America.
Trump's not president & he's more concerned about terrorism than republicans have ever been.
I do notice that Trump is not your standard, useless, failure that other Rep/Con/Teas are.

Trump screwed up. I knew that the moment he attacked Khan. You will notice his poll numbers took a dive right after that.

17   neplusultra57   2016 Aug 20, 8:46am

Put another way, if Khan didn't say he wasn't mad at terrorists having killed his son, why does the meme say he wasn't? The question is about the meme, not the religion.

18   FNWGMOBDVZXDNW   2016 Aug 20, 9:18am

neplusultra57 says

f Khan didn't say he wasn't mad at terrorists having killed his son, why does the meme say he wasn't?

For the same reason that Trump thought he should attack Khan. He and his supporters fill in the gaps with preconceived notions of how people should be. He figured that the wife was not allowed to talk, and felt perfectly free to make that assumption and accusation.

It's the same reason that people who are perfectly OK with hiring a black guy to hang drywall don't want the black guy to be president. It's not the fact that he's black that makes them angry. It's the fact that he's black and (1) smarter than them, (2) more successful than them (3) funnier than them and (4) has vast powers over them.

I'm sure that Kahn was emotionally angry at the people who killed his son 10 years ago. I'm sure that he's still angry about it intellectually. To erase any doubt, he stated as much.

neplusultra57 says

the direct effect, the most effect of the terrorism in -- the menace of terrorism had been Muslims in the world. Muslims hate this menace of terrorism as much as any other place. It

Now, he is angry at Trump, because Trump is stoking the ideological war between Christian western nations and Islamic terrorists, and because Trump is throwing Khan's whole community under the bus instead of the part of it that needs to be run over. At least, that is what he expressed.

IMO, Trump's approach may win some battles, but it will lose the ideological war that we are in at the moment. Peaceful Muslims will be the first casualties of that battle plan, and they are naturally the most offended by it.

19   Shaman   2016 Aug 20, 10:58am

Maybe it's because his BUSINESS MODEL depends on importing Islamists from the Middle East?

20   HydroCabron   2016 Aug 20, 11:16am

Hey, Ingenuous: Why do you go on and an about the Federal Reserve and the evils of statism, without mentioning Islamic extremism much at all?

Is it because you're an Islamist?

21   MisdemeanorRebel   2016 Aug 20, 11:18am

Shh, Quigley.

Let's also not point out that to make a token remark about unspecified "terrorism" doesn't detract from the fact that Khan came out of the woodwork to bash Trump, and hasn't spent any energy in public going after ISLAMICIST terrorism. Obviously one bothers him more than the other.

"Terror is a problem, but TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP!!! PS I'm a immigration lawyer who specializes in hooking up wealthy Pakis and Gulf Staters with US Citizenship via E* programs."

23   HydroCabron   2016 Aug 20, 11:34am

indigenous says

Have to pick your fights.

Maybe Khan is doing the same thing.

Suppose he's neither physically taking up arms against, nor actively donating money and time to anti-ISIS causes. I am not aware that he is.

But I am also not aware that you are doing either of those two things: are you?

Why are you attacking Khizr Khan for exercising his free-speech rights as an American, while you do nothing about Islamic extremism?

24   Shaman   2016 Aug 20, 11:38am

HydroCabron says

Why are you attacking Khizr Khan for exercising his free-speech rights as an American, while you do nothing about Islamic extremism?

So, when Khan attacks Trump, it's called "exercising free speech" and somehow deemed above reproach, but when people say and write things that show Khan to have a clear agenda, they are "attacking him" which of course is unacceptable?

25   HydroCabron   2016 Aug 20, 11:45am

Quigley says

when people say and write things that show Khan to have a clear agenda

They are attacking Khan for speaking against Trump instead of fighting Islamist terror.

Meanwhile, they are doing no more than Khan is to fight Islamist terror.

In their minds, this makes Khan an asshole/terrorist, even though their behavior is the same.

His agenda is to import Muslims, as Lips indicates, into the US. Trump is messing with his rice bowl.

HydroCabron says

I think the terrorism would settle down in the US if the US quit bombing them.

That is not the only answer but it is a big part of it.

You operate through innuendo cunning, less than ingenuous and less than indigenous.

Khan.....hasn't spent any energy in public going after ISLAMICIST terrorism.

You lot must be running low on energy trying to staunch the bleeding. You used to work into the tertiary level of negative hypotheticals looking for a way to be insulted. You remember your standardized "The wrong person didn't say something about a thing that didn't happen" set-up for your butthurt? I don't blame you for being plumb tuckered out! Drumpf spent 72 hours stabbing himself in the face with an icepick over the Khans all the while crying about being viciously attacked with his own words. Poor baby! Poveraccio Trumplusconi!

If, in your fatigue, you simply must settle for primary negative hypotheticals, at least be thorough: you can use the alphabet. If you're so concerned about what topics Khan didn't mention you can work your way through "cormorants" to "Heathrow airport" and on to "leaf blowers" and "taxes". Speaking of taxes, why hasn't your moronic messiah released his? Oops, did you see what I did there?

This is a standard wingnut rhetorical outrage trigger. It's what Breitbart writers fall back on when the clock is ticking and the Red Bull isn't bringing forth the inspiration.

30   neplusultra57   2016 Aug 20, 10:36pm

“We should just go buck wild.” Bannon makes Trump look like Martha Stewart.

Bannon pushed for a more scorched-earth approach. “Leadership are all cunts,” he wrote.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/08/19/donald-trump-s-new-chief-steve-bannon-called-republican-leaders-c-ts.html

How can so many people so mercilessly attack the orange blowfish when he's being so presidential? Maybe Bannon will bring him a mirror and calm him down. Some primate grooming behavior perhaps?

Please point me to all the times Khan took a public stance on Islamic Terror, gave money to anti-terrorist groups, etc. After all THAT'S WHAT KILLED HIS SON.

You'd think he'd be more concerned about that than Donald J Trump.
