Apparently Obummer (who joined the Senate in 2005) and Hillary were responsible for changing the rules of engagement during the first Bush administration, thereby killing Humayan Khan in 2004.
This beats the times I've heard wingnuts blame Clinton for Ruby Ridge.

Donald Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson went off the deep end on CNN tonight, implying that something President Obama and Hillary Clinton did led to the death of Captain Humayan Khan.

Khan died in 2004.

First, Pierson incredulously demanded of Wolf Blitzer, “What exactly is Mr. Trump supposed to be apologizing for?”

Blitzer pointed out that Trump engaged in a pretty nasty attack against Ghazala Khan when he implied a grieving mother who couldn’t bring herself to speak about her dead son was only silent because she’s a Muslim and therefore wasn’t “allowed.”

Pierson’s response was to play up nonsense from fringe websites raising questions about Khizr Khan‘s commitment to American values.

Oh, but after that, Pierson went ahead and said this, about Humayan Khan’s death (again, in 2004):

“It was under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that changed the rules of engagements that probably cost his life! So I don’t understand why it’s so hard to understand why Donald Trump was confused.”
