When you have suffered with Communism, and watched the misery and corruption of having to answer to a powerlord, then you rise up and seize your freedom and destiny through blood sweat and tears.... you aren't going to be handing it over to some layabout, entitled migrants who want everything for free while they demand you change your values for THEIR whims. Fuck that.
The reason we're so kumbaya in the West is we've had generations of snowflakes that have never felt the pain of war or sacrifice, and have been handed participation trophies.

Prime Minister Robert Fico's government has said Islam has no place in Slovakia.Parliament adopted a bill sponsored by the Slovak National Party (SNS), junior member in Fico's coalition, that requires a religion to have at least 50,000 members, up from 20,000, to qualify for state subsidies and to run its own schools.
When Eastern Europeans pass laws like Slovakia or Hungary, Kaiserina Merkel and her Chambermaid Macron issue threats and accuse Vladimir Putin of being behind it all
They are very quick to blame Putin but never blame Islam for Terror Attacks.

Actually, the full time course load at HU is 4.
And then again, I was working full-time, you stupid POS. If I had all my time to myself, I could take 4 to 7 classes and ace them all.

Polish politician unapologetic for ‘zero’ Muslim refugees: ‘We can be called Populists, Nationalists, Racists, I don’t care … Poland is safe’
When asked on British television how many Muslim refugees Poland has taken in, an unapologetic Tarczyński said, “Zero.”
This prompted the host to ask the vice president of the European Conservatives of the Council of Europe if he is “proud of that.”
Again, the politician did not waver, saying that Poland will not accept even one.
“This is the why Poland is so safe,” he explained. “This is the reason why we had not even one terrorist attack.”
European countries have taken in millions of Muslim refugees fleeing violence and poverty in the Middle East, resulting in citizens being slaughtered in the streets by radicalized Islamic extremists, but Poland has not seen such an attack.
And doesn’t plan to.

Polish MP: Our country is safe because we didn’t accept illegal Muslim migrants
Channel 4 host Cathy Newman asks Tarczyński “how many refugees Poland has taken,” Tarczyński says “zero”. When Newman asks him if he is proud of that, he says: “If you’re asking me about illegal Muslim migrants, not even one will come to Poland, if it’s illegal.”
The Polish MP explains how his country has accepted already 2 million Ukrainians who are working peacefully in the country. He adds that Poland will not receive even one Muslim, because that is what “we’ve promised”.
When Newman says it sounds like he’s proud of it and reminds him of accusations of racism, Tarczyński says:
“This is what our people expect from our government (…) this is why Poland is so safe, this is the reason why we had not even one terrorist attack”.

Czech PM: EU Must Turn Back Boats, Resettling Migrants Is ‘Road to Hell’
On Twitter, Babiš stressed that the bloc should follow Australia’s lead and turn back the boats, writing: “We must send a clear signal that illegal migration has ended and that the European Union is ready to return illegal immigrants immediately.”
Interior Minister Jan Hamáček said the government is offering Italy alternative forms of assistance including the possibility of sending border guards and experts to help push back migrants in North Africa.
“We must focus on the solution to the migrant crisis causes and the ways of halting the flow of illegal migrants, including the fight with their smugglers,” he told CTK. “We will not tackle the migrant crisis by keeping the door to Europe open to uncontrolled migration.”
The Czech Republic’s fellow Visegrád nation Hungary took a similar line, with Fidesz parliamentary spokesman István Hollik stating: “We will not be accepting anyone, as Hungarian voters made it clear at the last election that they do not want to live in a nation of immigrants.”
Describing the NGO boats ferrying migrants across the Mediterranean as “Soros ships”, in reference to open borders-backing globalist billionaire George Soros, Hollik added that “Hungarians reject the Soros plan”.

Hungary officially pulls out of UN migration pact as it ‘encourages migration’
It has become clear that differences between Hungary’s position on migration and the UN’s approach are irreconcilable, Szijjarto told a press conference.
“Hungary will maintain its position and no global package can change that”, he added.
“We see migration processes from a different perspective,” he said. The UN believes that migration is unavoidable, beneficial and should be supported, while Hungary considers it a danger to Hungary and Europe, he said, adding that the UN’s aim was to encourage migration whereas Hungary’s goal was to stop it.
The Global Compact for Migration includes some agreeable targets, such as taking action against human smugglers, but its effect will be contrary even to these, he said. A document that encourages migration will only benefit human smugglers because they can then convince more people to set off, telling them that they will be accepted in line with the global compact, Szijjarto said.
Hungary’s position is that it would be unnatural to change the population of the continent and global efforts should instead be made to stop migration, he said.
The migration compact includes certain obligations that Hungary would not be willing fulfil, such as organising training sessions for migrants before they set off and after they arrive, granting allowances to those send home remittances, enabling NGOs to help migrants submit complaints, increasing migrant reception capacities and viewing border crossing as a human rights issue instead of a security issue, he added.
Hungary has introduced “precisely contrary measures” in order to protect the security of citizens, Szijjarto said.
In response to a question, he said that considering that the US had not even participated in the talks on the Global Compact for Migration and several countries had expressed dissatisfaction at the end of talks, Hungary was unlikely to meet with any negative fallout as a result of its announcement.

That's an excellent photo because it describes Polish history in a nutshell.
"Pole" (pronounced with the final "e") literally means "field" in Polish. The country's name indicates its geography. Poland is very flat north of the Carpathians, and has historically been rolled over in both directions: Nazis from the west, Communists from the east.
They don't want to be either of those! They just want to be Polish.

Most of Ukraine and parts of Russia (Smolensk region, IIRC). It was called The Grand Duchy of Lithuania then and at some point it was the biggest state in Europe.

HELSINKI, March 15 (Reuters) - Finland’s social and healthcare systems still need reforming to ensure the sustainability of its public finances, Bank of Finland governor Olli Rehn said on Friday, a week after the failure of its health reform plan led the government to quit.
The coalition government resigned a month ahead of a mid-April general election, saying it could not deliver on the healthcare reform package, its key policy and widely seen as crucial to long-term fiscal security.
“The collapse of the structural reform of the social and healthcare (systems) is of course very troublesome from the point of view of fiscal sustainability,” Rehn told a news conference in Helsinki.
“The problem itself, (the need for) better and democratic healthcare as well as consolidation of public finances, has not disappeared.”
