No immigration restrictions based on ideology have ever been shot down by the SCOTUS.

We focus a lot of terrorism, but the truth is an incredible amount of "ordinary" organized crime is Muslim-based in Europe, way out of proportion to numbers. This is why so many Muslims in France own multiple apartments despite only arriving in the 70s/80s and never having any sort of decent job or being on welfare while having 5 kids; while middle class French struggle to own housing. It's all the under the table smuggling and drug dealing they do.

It's true that Christians make up 10% of pre war Syria, and only 2.4% of refugees into the U.S.. But the lie in what you said is that this was Obama's choice. If you had blamed the U.N., it might have made more sense, but even that is not known to be true. Maybe it has something to do with the refugee camps being nearly 100% Muslims and either being difficult for Christian refugees to get in to, or to feel safe in. Maybe the U.N. failed in predicting this or accommodating alternatives to this, but it certainly isn't Obama's choice.

Republicans do not even ASPIRE to have the principles of the US constitution apply for every person in the world. (sarcasm on:). That is, not until we, the alrighty almighty have LIBERATED these people and regime-changed them and made them obedient to our world order. At that point, we *might* allow them to have a US-like constitution, but only if they are obedient and do not espouse the wrong branch of some religion. Clearly the founding fathers would not have liked that uppity foreigners should have constitutional protection. Nor freedom of religion. Come to think of it, uppity US citizens probably should not have any constitutional protections, either. (sarcasm off).

The US is a lot like ancient Rome. is it not? Inside the walls of that shining city on the hill, the citizens of Rome lived in a supposedly Democratic society, but all the subjects that constituted (!) the rest of the Roman empire had no democracy, no rights, nothing but slavery and taxes to Rome. Rome liberated and regime--changed a lot of people into submission.

Perhaps all the US colonies around the world should rise up and demand "no taxation (*) without representation". Would that not be the ultimate irony. Maybe they should also say "no taxation without constitutional rights".
