Quick full read, but the last paragraph and the top trending comment are enough to get it across.

LOL! Your chosen meme is perfect. Do you understand why?

(Oh man, you got 4 dislikes. I'm giving you a like. You are going to miss why that reply was the best ever unless you know that movie well and are ... thinking critically. lol )

I don't think smart people go into politics anymore ... but ...

Well since we're all voting for Idiots anyway, then the funny paper is as good as any place else to get valid news about Obama.

the funny paper

"the paper"? What is this you speak of?

(The fake stuff is more critical and round in thinking. To get the satire it forces you to understand more sides of the issue than the one being presented by the talking head. That's why those viewers are typically more informed.)

But you still vote for them anyway.... Sad..

Better to have a voice than none at all. Also I think it is amazingly disrespectful and one of the most un-American things, not to exercise that right : so much blood shed for it. Be smart. Be informed. Make the best choice you can for yourself and the nation.

Not saying I don't agree that it is not more powerful or even productive, at spreading propaganda, just as easily as it does at exposing the truth.
One should always remember, "Skewed News" is just that, and nothing more.

It's an American tragedy, and not a great milestone my friend.
It's not so much tragic, that most people get their news from John Stewart and South Park commentaries, as it is that there's not really any news organization that I would suggest they use instead. As far as reporting the actual facts of any news story.

I don't think I can remember the last time I have ever seen a reporter report a political story or report on conflict that presented both sides, unfiltered and uncensored. Every news source has an angle on the story and they aren't interested in the other POV. They are selling just one.

It's the best counter argument to the one sided perspectives on display. (Fox is just typically the easiest target to make fun of. Maybe they should correct that? LOL)

That's just media dumbifying down to the type of content average viewer can understand.

By media you mean Fox/CNN/MSNBC? Agreed. That's the problem. They are going for the lowest common denominator, sensationalism, fear, and sex : ie the stuff that sells/captures interest.

Again, you don't necessarily have to be smart to watch the Daily Show or Colbert, but it helps to get the jokes and really understand depper messages and themes they are talking about.

You seem to believe The Daily Show and Colbert Report are unbiased. That's not true. You are too shallow if you think they are too deep :).

You don't necessarily have to be smart to watch anything on tv these days.

Yeah, but you watch way too much of that so called "real news" referred to in the article, at Fox and other outlets that cater to those people that are "smart" like you.

Hence your hillbilly racist streak,...or did that come first ?

Seems to me, Colbert and Stewart are always making fun of you and the politicians who have beliefs like yours.

Oh no. They are left leaning, but at-least they provide the counter point and even takes shots at themselves. In my book that gives them higher credibility no matter what their slant/agenda may be.

Rean News seems to merely read other organizations' copy. There is no questioning and certainly no illustrating the absurdity of certain viewpoints. And local news is the pits beyond their limits of reporting fires and traffic accidents. Real News is truly filler for advertisements.
