....but Hell!

Since 1971 the middle class has done pretty good.
They have smart phones, computers, better cars, bigger and better homes, large screen TV's, affordable air travel, life saving drugs etc. etc.
The next 40 years will be even better.

No.... As usual....

Vacation time is not helping. I think you need a 6 month world cruise.

OK then, another answer to that question

To be a Kondratieff Winter or not to be a Kondratieff Winter

That is the question?

You still can't answer the question.
The car phone was once a rich man's toy. Today 6 year olds from lower middle class families have iPhones. How can the middle class not be better off than 50 years ago? Go figure.

Technologically things have improved but financially the middle class is being left in the dust

That's your basis for determining that the middle class is "better off". Because of the cost of a cell phone???

Really???

If you lived like a middle income family did 50 years ago, you would do pretty well with a low end income.
Imagine.....no cell phones, no microwaves, little black and white TV, no cable, no internet, 1 unsafe car, little house, no air conditioning, hey - you can live pretty well in a 1960's lifestyle even if you have a low income.

it's not the cell phone, microwave, TV, cable, internet, cars, AC that are eating budgets now.
It's these things that were cheap in the 60's.
