The reason why inflation will lead to a market crash was convoluted: he said that business borrowing costs will increase leading to lower expansion, hiring, dividends, and this will make stock less attractive. Assuming that this means the billionaires will sell off stock means that the market will take a hit. How big a hit is pretty arbitrary. Given that most stock is held by pension funds, mutual funds, 401ks etc, they won't be concerned about dividends. Unless, of course, a panic spreads that causes a crash through pure speculative fear. Which is a far more likely scenario.
