People think that money is safe in the big banks because the FDIC will protect the deposits. This assumption is not based on the facts. This video will show official government documents that describe the plans for confiscating deposits when, (not if) a big bank fails. Individual, as well as public funds from municipal, university, county deposits are at serious risk. YOUR taxpayer money will disappear in the next crisis! Public officials in charge of taxpayer funds need to be aware of the dangers here. The loss of taxpayer funds and the inability to meet payrolls and obligations will certainly...

Bury it in the backyard. You can give the map of its location to me for safekeeping.

The criminal financial elites have created an amusing little Catch 22 by criminalizing cash. Don't just bring your excess FNR's home as the transport or possession of large amounts of cash is presumptively a nefarious act. You may catch a money laundering beef and you are certainly subject to seizure of your loot.

It's safe. If they confiscate it, they know they'll have riots on the streets. No one is going to confiscate your deposits.

This is where the precious metals guys lose me.

If the credit-money system breaks down, gold or silver could get you through to the head od the line at the grocery store, but I have two questions.

The first is why would people fall back in precious metals, when the habit of using them widely disappeared 150 years ago, and effectively nobody in the United States has Krugerrands, sovereigns, or 90% coinage to put in the service as money: you need billions of units of something to make it money.

The second is that it seems any situation which breaks the credit system tends to make copper-jacketed lead more valuable than silver or gold: Argentina, Somalia, etc.
