More Americans are renouncing their citizenship than ever. According to the Association of Americans Resident Overseas, over 6 million Americans now live in over 160 countries around the planet. Will all the news about how corrupt our government, corporations, and banks are, it's no wonder emigration is a growing trend. It might be time for other Americans to consider it, before our foreign policy results in the rest of the world closing its doors on us for good. The Resident (aka Lori Harfenist) discusses.

Not much of a report, pretty much nothing to it at all. By the time any substantial number of people decide to emigrate it will be way too late. The number of Americans actually working overseas is pretty damn small. At least 90% of Americans living overseas are retired. On the rare occasions I run into another American actually working overseas it's always a big surprise for both of us.

Renounce citizenship? WTF that's just silly. A stunning 1500 out of 315 million people renounced citizenship last year. Most of those were people who had never even lived in the US, What the state department calls accidental Americans. Plus you have to have another citizenship first before you can renounce.
