Normally, the writing would be on cars.

That is, the political stickers plastered all over Bay Area automobile bumpers.
This time in 2008, it seemed that every fourth of fifth car I saw, had "Obama-Biden" stickers.

Not this time around.

I RARELY see an Obama '12 sticker. I might just have to pick up one, for nostalgia's sake.

How about you, do you see Obama stickers everywhere this time around?

I'm with Nomo on this one. It's too early. That and the whole messianic aura around Obama's has gone away.

I think Obama will probably win. Why? Southern rednecks won't want to vote for a Mormon. If they do, they will be voting "against Obama" and not "for Romney."

Because of all the Teabaggers who are DEAD by then. Some prune juice & Jack Daniels on the side table. Such corposes are usually found with their faces still turned purple and spittle flecking everything close by, and either AM radio or Fox News blaring so loud the neighbors never heard their final cries for help.

Obama hasn't started campaigning yet; it's still the Republican primaries. Are you asleep at the wheel again, Larry?

How many times are we gonna discuss this?

We don't live in the United States of California, Massachusetts, Illinois and Maryland. The states that will determine the election are all trending red, some of them strongly red.

In order to balance out not winning Ohio and Pennsylvania, Obama would have to carry Virginia and North Carolina...and we know there's NO WAY. Obama was the first Democrat to carry those states since 1964 and 1976, respectively. It only happens once in a blue moon.

Do you really think Obama will be waking up to John Boehner's House and Mitch McConnell's Senate for the next four years? Do you really believe he's popular enough in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida to carry those states again, with eight plus percent unemployment, two percent certificates of deposit, small businesses falling down all over the place and four dollar gas? That doesn't make sense.

“Eagles are dandified vultures” - Teddy Roosevelt

Tea Party folks ARE in charge in the states Obama has to win.

That's why it's over. You just haven't heard about it yet.

This just popped up:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/how-the-roberts-court-could-save-health-care/2012/03/07/gIQALljXGS_print.html

Here again, it's not what they say. It's what they don't say.

There are a lot of "coulds" and "shoulds" there.

I think it's dead and they know it.

If it is and the decision is handed down during the conventions this summer, it'll seriously take the wind out of the Democrats' sails.

California's votes are just shy of Texas and Florida combined. There is no other single state more important.

You also failed to mention, NY, NJ, and PA, which combined become a "second California". Despite what Pundits say, PA is going democratic.

BTW, Florida recently had the first year in more than half a century where the population did not grow, and in fact declined slightly. California did not lose a single elector since 2008.

Teabaggers are mostly Democrats. Teabagging is a gay sex act, and gays are usually liberals.
Whether Obama wins or not, it will be a loss for Democrats. If he wins, he'll go nuts and will scare the voters away from Democrat Senators and Representatives for years to come.
Even my illegal alien loving, liberal dimwit government worker friends who are goldbricks dislike how Obama has been making being rich and successful evil and his anti-American apology tours turned them off. They also fear how his anti-business attitude will impoverish the USA.
See, even a person who is liberal in his attitude likes the concept that the USA is a successful, prosperous country. Even the most bleeding heart has some successful friends who made their money on their own terms.
No one believes that windmills, solar and battery cars are going to solve our problems.
Obama being re-elected is not a sure thing and whether he succeeds or not, his party will lose for a long time to come.

I saw a bumper sticker that said "The other guy for president."

9   Honest Abe   2012 Mar 19, 8:42am

And I saw one that said "Impeach Everyone". That kinda refelects my feelings, caused by the mismanagement of our countries state of affairs by our political "leaders".

Mkay.

Let's start with these guys:

After you've proven your "street cred" by capping a few, we can move on to mowing down the rest.

I'll call your three bastards, and raise you a one eyed cunt and a half a hag.

Was that language neccessary? No it wasn't.

My point had nothing to do with the appearances of the representatives in question, who seem well composed.

In case this flew over your head, I'm spelling it out for ya. It had to do with Abe's misdirection that we should "impeach everyone" when we know he doesn't actually mean everyone. I'd be fine trading 3 for 2. You first!

I am from the South originally and I can tell you that NC has become a VERY popular relocation state for Northern relocatees from NY, MA, NJ, and so on. Its demographic is changing and can't be counted on to consistently vote Republican anymore.

Yup, and I did it while consistently voting for Democrats. Is your argument that liberal all hate money or something? I love making money.

Also- the comments about those 'nasty' alternative energy forms. Did you know that 100 years ago Gasoline was an Alternative energy form? Guess what the biggest polluters of the day were? Horses. Cars at that time were deemed "clean" in comparison. Had the same attitude been prevalent back then- as in the " Oh no- its NEW!" attitude from the right these days carried the day we'd still be driving around in horse and buggies.

Only problem I have with statement like is that about 99% of the time its being made by folks who vote Republican. So all it really means is: "Impeach everyone ( except for Republicans of course).

14   Honest Abe   2012 Mar 19, 2:17pm

edvard. I said it "kind of reflects my feelings". IMHO a tiny number deserve to be reelected.

There are a few decent demo's, and a few decent repub's - just like there are a few decent attorneys and a few decent realtors.

But the rest of them should get a long stay in the Gray-Bar Hotel.
