Yup, though they deny it, women do judge men by their bank account balance.

When I was at U. Michigan in Ann Arbor, an anthropology professor got in big trouble for documenting the fact that in every culture on earth, men seek young and beautiful women, and women seek rich and powerful men.
No exceptions! Those were the main criteria of attractiveness everywhere on earth.
But for documenting and publishing that fact, the guy almost lost his job.
