I'd verify this filtering method to be substantially superior to existing methods:
Activated carbon filters
Particulate filters
Evaporation pools
Bioremediation
Flocculation
If Abtech can filter polluted water better/faster/cheaper then great.
We'll know soon enough if their patent portfolio and the razor/razor-blade business model works out for them or not.
Google 'Abtech SmartSponge'... They have developed this 'material' that can remove 99+% of hydrocarbons from water runoff, 'fracked' water... Partnered w/ Waste Management for their cozy relationship w/ municipalities, trying to win contracts for the upcoming Federal water mandates that towns/cities will, or are facing... Just won their first contract for $12 million... Hopefully has 'broken the seal' for more deals coming in the near future... I'm about to break even, and looking forward to a possible 'multi-bagger'.....
