The US poor can't even get a job, because gas has been taxed and over speculated to the point, that they can't even afford to drive.

You folks act like taxes are the only burden that the poor face in this country.
Almost every Liberal policy that was supposed to somehow magically help the poor, only adds to the burden of their plight.

I don't hear you clowns talking about gas price inequality. The educated elite in this country can afford to drive, and feel like they are saving the world when they pay $5.00 a gallon. It just gets poor people evicted from their homes.

The poor make such little income, sub 30k per year, that a couple percent swing in income taxes aren't nearly as detrimental to their standard of living, as currency debasement (fed gov war on working poor) and high cost of living which encapsulates energy (food and fuel) and housing.

10% income tax on 30k annual wages =3k
10% income tax on 20k annual wages =2k
850 monthly rent x 12 = 10,2k

So one could rail to eliminate income taxes on the poor entirely and put 2 -3k of their own money back in their pockets. Knowing that the landlord will certainly raise rents about 200 per month accordingly.

Or you could look at what the real problem is afflicting us poor people, and you would ask why is rent so high? Why is cost of housing so high?

If you think about it, it makes sense to tax the poor more. The states listed are some of the most economically robust in the nation, so they're doing something right. The poor cause the most crime, which means they equate to need for more police and emergency services. The poor use the most government assistance which must be paid for by the state. The poor lower the value of real estate, which lowers taxes that can be collected, which is another effective "cost" to the state. They contribute to violence in schools, making them unsafe and unsatisfactory.
So why should a state encourage poor people to stay? If they don't like the taxes, they leave, which is good for the state. If they can get a decent job because of the better business environment, then they won't be poor anymore and have incentive to stay. And contribute to state wealth and productivity.

Why would you want to reward people for being poor?

The poor go to jail. The rich not so much.

Its only a crime if you are convicted.
