There would be a lot more fires in the drier eastern halves of those states if they had occurred naturally.

Conclusion: the fires are arson by climate cultists to whip up fear.

My parents live in Lowville, NY - they don't report anything unusual.

We had poor air quality alerts where I'm at from the fires 5 days roughly. Somewhat hazy the last week here in northern IL.

Our bigger issue is our drought here. We "might" get a 1/4" of rain tomorrow, but the 10 day is still dry as fuck. I don't recall it ever being this dry, especially late may to almost mid-June. We usually get some pretty good t-busters and downpours. I think I've only heard thunder from 2 systems this year. Really abnormal. Few people here have in ground irrigation, so a lot of brown lawns currently. I don't think I've mowed my own lawn in 2 weeks. Stopped mowing 60 acres of school property this week because it's brown and much of that was treated with fertilizer.

The weather though has been the best for 3 weeks though in my lifetime in IL. Not overly hot or humid. 80-85º and sunny with no clouds. Only had to turn the AC on 3-4 days. Cool at nights. It's been awesome. Just my lawn looks like shit, but I'm a cheapskate and won't water. Not shitting on my lawn, so not gonna pay the sewer portion of the water bill for greener grass.

FLAMETHROWER WIELDING ROBOT DOG FOUND RESPONSIBLE FOR FOREST FIRES!

For Rich:
Original link has nothing to do with forest decimation due to poor management and arson.

We really have to start shooting looters and arsonists.

Yes, like how it used to be.

Elderly man charged with setting Yosemite park fire after Dems blamed it on 'climate change'
Edward Fredrick Wackerman, 71, was taken into custody on June 16.

An elderly California man has been arrested in connection with a massive forest fire that swept through Yosemite National Park in July 2022. Edward Fredrick Wackerman, 71, was taken into custody on June 16 following an investigation that lasted nearly a year.

The blaze, known as the Oak Fire, was originally attributed to climate change by many Democrats, including California Sen. Alex Padilla, who used the incident as an opportunity to push his environmental agenda.

Wackerman appeared in court on June 20, and is being held on a no bail detention order. Wackerman will next appear in court on September 14, 2023, according to Mariposa County District Attorney Walter Wall.

In a June press conference, Wall revealed that Wackerman has been charged with one count of aggravated arson, and three forest land felonies, including arson that caused great bodily injury and arson that caused damage to an inhabited dwelling. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.

Wall explained that four separate fires had been "intentionally set" in Mariposa County, leading to the Oak Fire, which went on to consume 127 residential structures, and engulf nearly 19,000 acres of land.

The blaze resulted in $8.3 million in property loss, and cost CalFire close to $100 million in response costs. Thankfully no lives were lost.

Sheriff Jeremy Briese reiterated that the fires were "deliberately set" and "not accidental." He said that Wackerman became a suspect early on in the investigation, and authorities were able to attain probable cause to perform an arrest. ...

At the time of the fire, however, many Democrats pushed the narrative that it had been caused by climate change.

The really messed up part about this is that our insurance company redlined us for having the Mariposa zip code and dumped us on the state FAIR plan. Not climate change but arson. We live miles away from where the Oak fire happened. We have exceptional clearance, even a fire break through our property. House built to WUI standards...metal roof, hardboard siding, sprinklers, 2500 gallon water holding tank. Insurance went from $1200 to $5300 and have $20,000 deductible just to get that "deal". Shitty coverage too. They don't even come out to personally inspect your property. I live above a Calfire camp. And an airport where they fly CalFire water tenders.
49   anniecoyote   2023 Jul 26, 6:58am

Oh, and that's just a fire policy. You can't get your regular homeowners insurance policy (difference in coverage plan) until you pay for FAIR plan. So add another $800 annual to that. So we call it the UNFAIR plan and the DICK plan. Great, huh? You must carry this if you have a mortgage (we don't have one) and in order to buy or sell a home with a mortgage you need this

Huh, maybe the insurance companies were paying people like that guy to start fires.

Why would the insurance companies want to increase payouts?
52   Patrick   2023 Jul 26, 7:46am

Insurance companies want increased premiums.

Why are they outright dropping coverage and pulling out of some states alltogether then?
54   Patrick   2023 Jul 26, 10:52am

Maybe they're not allowed to raise premiums as much as they'd like.

Right, but wouldn't it make starting fires in their coverage area a losing proposition for them in the first place?
56   Patrick   2023 Jul 26, 11:30am

Depends on how much they hoped to raise them.

Scaring people to get them to pay more for insurance is a long tradition.

They have all the numbers - how much they want to raise premiums, the legal limits, etc. So if fires lead to insurance co's pulling out it means that it's not started by them.

Besides, it's not like they need to scare anybody into anything to raise premiums: they can just go ahead and do it anytime because everybody with a mortgage are required to have fire insurance and people w/o mortgages are but a small blip on the radar.

🔥 The UK Guardian ran a narrative-snarling story yesterday headlined, “Most fires in Greece were started ‘by human hand’, government says.” Oops. The sub-headline explained, “Official blames arsonists for the majority of 667 blazes that have spread in the extreme weather.”

Recently Greece has been suffering from a nationwide wildfire crisis like Canada’s. Last week, in a single day nearly 20,000 tourists were evacuated from hotels on Rhodes, the island worst affected by the fires. It was the largest evacuation in Greece’s history.

Yesterday, Greek minister of climate crisis and civil protection, Vassilis Kikilias, told reporters that “During this time 667 fires erupted, that is more than 60 fires a day, almost all over the country. Unfortunately, the majority were ignited by human hand, either by criminal negligence or intent.” Kikilias pointed out that in many places, blazes had broken out close together and at the same time, suggesting multiple arsonists were working together to ensure the fires took and spread further. ...

Bizarrely, at no point did the article even begin to speculate about who might be setting up to 60 fires a day in Greece. There was not one word about the identity of the arsonists or even any investigation.

And don’t even get me started on corporate media. For some reason, corporate media is completely uninterested in THIS manmade climate disaster.

Minister calls out ‘arsonist scum’ as 79 arrested over Greece wildfires
‘You will not get away with it, we will find you, you will be held accountable,’ climate minister vows

Greek police have made 79 arsonic arrests after wildfires ripped through the country as ministers lambasted “arsonist scums”. ...

Civil protection minister Vassilis Kikilias said arsonists have attempted to start new fires on Mount Parnitha, north-west of Athens.

“You are committing a crime against the country,” Mr Kikilias said during a televised emergency briefing on Thursday.

He added: “Arsonist scum are setting fires that threaten forests, property and, most of all, human lives.

“You will not get away with it, we will find you, you will be held accountable.”
