99% sure I have it now. SIL we spent Thanksgiving with for 3 days at a hotel has it, just found out 5 min ago. We were all in rooms for hours with those wall HVAC unit. So little air circulation.
Everyone in our house is sick. Nothing extreme. I cough maybe once every 2 hours and it’s a bit painful. My knees feel like trash which is weird and it’s difficult to get warm. Otherwise it’s less than flus I’ve had in the past. Started feeling it Monday. Might get tested, but not sure I want to waste the time.
There’s no push here yet for kids to get it or mandate threats. I just vaccine shamed my wife. She’s sick and was vaccinated. I finally did the I told you so moment. She almost certainly has it. Didn’t take it well, but I’ve done enough research, a lot with help from you here. Very frustrating when someone doesn’t listen to you. I’m no doc, but her hormones are still super fucked up. Enough so she’s going to the doctor tomorrow. I’m just resting and cold. She’s more sick...
I'd get the test, you can get an at home AB test which preserves your privacy, but I decided to also get the PCR test, since it will confer your natural immunity. We got hounded by the health dept (quarantine etc.) for days but eventually got an official release letter which also confers that you had covid. The GOP has already recognized natural immunity as a substitute to jabs and the pressure is growing to have it recognized by other institutions and employers (also makes a good exemption). So for all of those reasons we decided to get it on the record. Just weigh the pros and cons.
Personally I want a positive test. I have a CVS drive through where I can do the PCR easily and have 3 times. It's still a waste of time though. And then my kids are home for maybe 10 days or so if I or my wife test positive? I'm just going to lay low and stay home for the time being. That and if my kids have it, it's just another 3 data points to push vaccinating kids.
My symptoms I list may seem bad when reading, but it's really nothing. I'm just uncomfortable, tired and cold. The kids are totally fine, just sniffles and light cough. I might do the AB test though at home. I think I'm going to have the wife get tested since she was vaccinated with both shots over 2 months ago. She has symptoms and I'd just love to have some personal data that vaccines don't work. And stop this bull shit of break through cases. This is an endemic flu bug. It will evolve and be around forever. There will never be a "vaccine" for it, just treatment like we do for the flu.
California business leaders, doctors join forces to fight COVID vaccine mandates
A group called The Unity Project is fighting back against Gov. Newsom's COVID injection mandates.
“What we understand launching this is we need our progressive brothers and sisters,” Hanson said in a virtual briefing Monday.
Launched two weeks ago, the project began in response to California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom’s declared intent to mandate vaccines in K-12 schools.
“We are firmly of the mind that if governments can hold down healthy 5-year-olds and inject them with this vaccine, we have lost our country,” said Hanson, who serves at the project’s board chairman and independent director.
He is the executive chairman of American Healthcare REIT, a public-reporting health-care real estate investment trust that owns facilities worth a total of about $4.9 billion across 38 states, as well as the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man.
Hanson said the leaders of The Unity Project “come to this discussion with a deep sense of humility.”
“What we are facing in this nation today is so far beyond anything I’ve seen in my lifetime.”
The group has a “get involved” link on its website for grassroots group leaders and individuals, with the aim of “unifying organizations and amplifying strategy.”
Hanson said that prior to launching, activists connected through a flurry of emails that were followed up by Zoom calls, eventually uniting 100 different groups that had not previously communicated with each other.
