This country is so fucked. That fact this is even necessary is proof of it.
ok, so I've been teaching in New Jersey 12 years. I've always been very adamant that the whole "indoctrination" thing is overblown. But what I've come to realize is that the districts I taught in were very apolitical. After listening in to my sons classrooms and attending zoom board meetings, I realize the leadership at my local is completely far left and the teachers follow suit. Listening to the zoom class this year, I can tell you, they are 100% trying to indoctrinate the kids to the left and it's blatant.
Statements to a 3rd grader:
"Do you know who George Floyd was?"
"The black lives matter people are fighting for equality"
"I think it's time we have a woman president, who else agrees?". I nearly chimed in, "is it ok if she's Republican?"
Last week, they gave them a lesson on LBGT rights. My kid is in 3rd grade. He doesn't even know what a gay person is.

Basically, it's going to be the job of every household to prepare their kid to not be brainwashed. I think that's one area where parents, even well meaning hard working ones fail completely because they don't even realize it's part of the job. Making your kids aware of the world around them. I know my parents did jack shit for me in that respect.
