I do think it's true that the Democrats generally have richer, more elitist donors these days, in spite of the Republican Party historically having been the party of business

I give my state rep. $5k in cash, I've got his ear anytime I want it. He's not putting that money in the bank, he'll spend it on shit for himself and his family.
