Yes, but what does that have to do with politics ? A majority of people are okay with gay marriage. Even among republicans, if you survey republicans under 50, a super majority are fine with it. That's only income; I was focused on the professions. Specifically, medicine. How many gatekeepers (residency directors and residency faculty) are Indian and how many are Jewish, especially in NYC.

Indians may be making money, but they aren't overwhelmingly in academic positions, which is slowly changing with more 2nd generation doctors (whos parents were usually doctors themselves 70% of the time).

This is true across the board in nearly every profession, except engineering disciplines.

Also, Jews easily make up more of the top 0.1% than hindus and it's not close..

Only after 40 years in this country are there some inroads being made. There are still way more American Jewish people in the high level specialties than Indians. This is despite fact that Jewish medical school enrollment has dropped over last 20-30 years and Indians overwhelmingly want their kids to be doctors. For the most part, many Jewish doctors of my fathers generation have actively discouraged their kids from even entering medicine.

Jews make up 2% of population and Indians make up around 1%.

No shortage of Indians in Internal Medicine and subspecialties; how many ENT surgeons, plastic surgeons, radiation oncologists, dermatologists and orthopedic surgeons are Indian. Jewish candidates esp on east coast probably outnumber 3:1. Probably half of the Jewish people I've seen in recent years pursuing medicine are from former soviet bloc countries. They are also not overwhelmingly in high-ranking specialties.

True. There's another component to this. Zuckerfuck, Sandberg, etc. have one thing more than just Bagels in common. They were born into the upper middle class/professional class. Grew up in ritzy housing, their parents portfolios and real estate holdings mushroomed in the 80s-90s when they were growing up, they like Indian and Thai food, Sushi everywhere (What they imagine with "Culture" and "Diversity"), to them "All Things Just Keep Gettin' Better". Only disgusting deliberately ignorant nasty people could be against liberalizing trade and deregulation and globalization.

You grow up in a high end North Egg environment, you've experienced the huge gains for the 1% but not the big smack down of the bottom 20% or stagnating wages (with rising "iron" - must haves - college & health costs) of the middle 40%. So to them everything is oakily-doakily. But when you live in the ever-more-Gentrified City Center, or the well maintained Greenbelt places like Greenwich, CT, you don't notice bad infrastructure. They also know few if anybody, except maybe some former JAG who was deep in the rear with the gear and became a corporate lawyer, in the military. They are insulated from the bad and see only the good.

They may "see" numbers on a chart, but it has no meaning for them when compared to this existential experience of ever increasing wealth, because they are from the top 10/1% and are in the top 10-1%.
