"A breathtaking array of prosecutorial talent" Hahaha! So good.
Best part: "They have not given us a formal update or budget ... I am hearing from sources ... more people are clamoring to join this team. They view it as a major public service ... "
Also really nice to hear how we have a bunch of follow the money type investigations going. I'm sure they won't find anything though. :-O (laughing)
As long as you recognize the pattern of the events there...
It's only just begun and hey, all in under 6 months to get embroiled into investigations settling in for the long haul. These are tireless, distance running bloodhounds, that are about to overturn every leaf they can find, in search of criminal wrongdoing. I hope Trump has washed recently.
Which means McMaster stating openly that trump not only didn't say Israel but DID NOT KNOW it was Israel is very obviously true
That's right. Trump had no clue WHAT he was giving to the Russians, but because he was bragging about things he didn't understand, the Russians were easily able to put together which service provided it. Remember almost all of Trump's problems are self inflicted wounds created by what he himself says.
It came across the typed transcript wires of the meeting in the WH. It's in print.
Someday we will even get to read the actual thing. :)
You pulled this our of your ass. The same place this entire witch hunt came from.
This is the meeting:
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/19/us/politics/trump-russia-comey.html
"The White House document that contained Mr. Trump’s comments was based on notes taken from inside the Oval Office and has been circulated as the official account of the meeting. One official read quotations to The Times, and a second official confirmed the broad outlines of the discussion."
And right after ... more details came out ... because the CIA and NSA had a fit when they saw what it contained ...
"Senior White House officials appeared to recognize quickly that Trump had overstepped and moved to contain the potential fallout. Thomas P. Bossert, assistant to the president for homeland security and counterterrorism, placed calls to the directors of the CIA and the NSA, the services most directly involved in the intelligence-sharing arrangement with the partner.
One of Bossert’s subordinates also called for the problematic portion of Trump’s discussion to be stricken from internal memos and for the full transcript to be limited to a small circle of recipients, efforts to prevent sensitive details from being disseminated further or leaked."
More than anything else to me, when I read that the internal transcripts of the meeting set off our intelligence services to this level, oh boy, did I know how serious Trump screwed up. He has no clue what he is doing.
CBOEtrader, so do you want to go with "fake news", "but but Hillary", or admit you were wrong?
the Russians were easily able to put together which service provided it.
You are making up this story. Every person in the room said otherwise. I shouldn't expect any better from you at this point.
More than anything else to me, when I read that the internal transcripts of the meeting set off our intelligence services to this level,
This is trumps prerogative as president and again, EVERYONE willing to make a public statement stated the exact opposite. The anonymous critics are the deep state stealing our democratic choices. Its amazing that you see the deeply illegal actions of these proven felons as a good thing. I can guarantee that a good portion of these clowns end up in prison.
You are deeply, deeply brainwashed.
Rew summed it up pretty well, but nothing you have posted disputes what I'm saying. Trump may not have known which country obtained it, but he still gave away the location of where the intelligence was obtained. That was enough for anybody else to know exactly which intelligence service was responsible.
Nobody in the room said otherwise. They all gave ambiguous statements that didn't rely deny the story.
It wouldn't be appropriate to discuss details of a diplomatic meeting such as this. Everyone in the room stated Trump's discussion was prudent.
Israel was leaked to the entire world via the anonymous source. Meaning, 1) the anonymous source is a very high ranking official who is in a ton of trouble for felony leaking and 2) the anonymous source could care less about the value of our relations up w Israel or Russia. 3) the anonymous source leaked for political purposes knowing fools like yourself would eat it up.
You can believe the anonymous voices in your head if you like. no one in the room stated green Martians don't control deep state either. OMG it must be true.
Just wait until trumps AG finds the leakers. Heads will roll.
Stay stupid though, its a good look on you.
We have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to disrupt the establishment and "deep state", and the Left is too blinded by their own butt-hurtedness having lost the election to care. This is a classic case of cutting off one's nose to spite their face. The Left-wing media has truly brainwashed their base to a point of such severe detriment. It's sad.
The left? What is the left doing? Dems have no power to do anything.
The leakers are all part of Trump's administration. Comey is a lifelong Republican.

The meeting was transcribed and noted on the internal WH blotter, for meetings just such as these, where WE the US tries to glean knowledge from foreign diplomats. The notes are widlkey published to the White House itself. But, the White House got a rude shock as our President gave away such crucial information, that there was a rush to strike it from the widely facing record, so the damage could be lessened.
That is what happened.
Trump's mouth is the problem. If you don't see that yet, you have some other agenda.
What legislation or executive orders are being considered for all the things you mention?
The appointment of Jeff Sessions as AG

Ok...small potatoes. What else you got?
Trump advocates have good reason to be concerned. It's estimated that up to 90% of circulating bank notes contain traces of cocaine. Presumably, from the sale of the illicit drug trade and use. As result, special allowances to the law have been required as these amounts are enough to be detected by dog-sniffing agents. Theoretically, most anyone walking the street could be prosecuted for drug money laundering. The point is, never underestimate the veracity of a tenacious prosecutor who is following the letter of the law. Everyone is guilty of a crime, and an innocent person is simply a crime that hasn't been attached to them yet.

Couldn't agree more. The team assembled, from what I read, is the type one would assemble to take down a group with broad international business dealings, a web of social connections, and also the type of team that specializes in finding anti-American intent and threats.
I'm not saying they will find any, all, or some of that against the Trump administration. But that is undoubtedly what they are looking for.
To your point: go looking for criminals, likely find criminals. Yes, I would be very concerned.
Witch hunt. The establishment is going after anything they can find to get Trump out of office. It's a shame.
The issue is less about the possibility of any criminality discovered, since I feel that's a given. The real issues are: 1.) who will be implicated and to what degree will charges be elevated too. 2.) The perception of this exercise will ultimately have upon the electorate. Clearly it will cement division between Trump supporters and those opposing him.....that's already at play and it will paralyze the administration from carrying out it's agenda. Ultimately though, it runs the risk of many citizens feeling their votes stolen by proxy, and this can be dangerous. Should that occur, civil unrest is almost assured. For anyone seeking to unify the Country and it's people, it's an absolute nightmare scenario.
Do you have a point, or are you just trying to be difficult?
My point is that I can handle an anti-drug agenda because I don't do drugs, so I don't care. Do you have another topic, besides "oh no, Jeff Sessions might be tough on drug users", that makes you so butt-hurt that you feel Trump deserves to be investigated of anything and everything?
You perceive me as being difficult because I call bullshit.
I don't think there's any question that Sessions views Marijuana as a gateway drug. If that's an issue for you, then you have a legitimate gripe. However, his approach seems to be an attempt to curb the drug problem more universally, and I can't imagine anyone disagreeing there is a significant problem currently. Most of us hear of it in ancillary reports....yet politicians are inundated with requests for help from hundreds of thousands of grieving parents and loved ones who have lost family members in historic proportions to drugs. Are you suggesting his motive is otherwise?
It's a classic straw man argument to talk about the guy who has cancer and is only able to cope by smoking marijuana. If the Trump administration is fighting against that scenario, then I 100% agree that that is wrong. However, I just might think that their scope is illegal use of drugs, illegal drug dealing, etc.

How about asset forfeiture? How about cops being able to search your vehicle for any reason and then take it.

What about it? Please provide evidence that he's pushing for something draconian here. I'm genuinely interested.
Considering that over 50,000 people died from opioid overdoses last year, I'd say it's time to get kinda ruthless with that sort of drug abuse! Especially since these are a lot of our nation's youth that are dying far too young. Heroin addiction is absolutely rampant, and can ensnare a youth with just one dose.
It's really not funny at all.

And you think throwing users in jail is the way to do it?
I think publicly executing sellers is a way to do it.

Leaving them on the street and letting them continue to deal certainly isn't the right answer. Running away from the problem doesn't make it go away.

How about we try to treat the users?
How about we try to treat the users?
Definitely, but that's only 1 side of the equation. We have to address both the supply and the demand problem because in many cases it's too late for treatment. I believe harsh punishment for drug dealers is absolutely required. I agree that punishment of users shouldn't be ridiculously harsh as it has been.
And you think throwing users in jail is the way to do it?
Yes, until they're clean. Combined with a detox program and counseling. These people are sick and are incapable of making the choice to quit on their own. Instead of letting their illness kill them, we should be compassionate and firm.
Trump officially not under investigation. Glad we figured that out
Where is your evidence that this would ever work?
Common sense I suppose. I'm not saying we jail users, and I'm fine trying the Netherlands or Portuguese way of handling them. But I'm also saying that the prevalence of drug dealing puts our youth at risk of just trying heroin and then having their lives ruined, regardless of any treatment option. I'd rather stop the opportunity altogether as much as possible.
Not only will he be exhonerated a near futre president after Trump will pass a populous vote to expunge that record.
History will report it for the witch hunt that it was. He wont be judged as having been investigated by any competent accusers.
It will be just more shit for Obama's legacy. Funny Mr. Blame-O Lame-Obama will get his jest blame, Mr. 0 scandal president. He hasn't been parsed by the Oliver Stone of 2030 yet.

If you want to stop the opportunity we should give Afghanistan back to the Taliban. They had opium almost eradicated when we stomped in.
So what new and innovative plan do you have to stop the opportunity? The war on drugs is almost 50 years old and no more successful today than in 1971. If there is demand there will be supply.
There is no way to emulate Portugal's handling of drug use in the US. In Portugal the social, legal, and public health system are closely tied together for treatment for drugs. BTW drug dealing is illegal and drug dealers go to jail in Portugal. .

To his lawyer's and Trump's knowledge, they are not under investigation ...
“I don't appreciate you putting words in my mouth when I've been crystal clear that the president is not and has not been under investigation,†Sekulow told Wallace later.
“But you don't know that he's not under investigation, right?†Wallace responded.
“You're right, Chris. I cannot read the mind of the special prosecutor,†Sekulow responded.

Sage wisdom from the bible, Psalm 109: 8
Let his days be few; and let another take his office
May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow.
May his children be wandering beggars; may they be driven from their ruined homes.
May a creditor seize all he has; may strangers plunder the fruits of his labor.
May no one extend kindness to him or take pity on his fatherless children.
Let's put that quote into context with a few verses that define the people about which David opines:
" For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me; They have spoken against me with a lying tongue. They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, And have fought against me without a cause. In return for my love, they attack me, But I am in prayer. They have repaid me evil for good, And hatred for my love.â€
â€â€PSALM‬ â€109:1-5‬ â€AMP‬‬

Remind you of anyone?
Yes it reminds me of Republican Kansas House Speaker Mike O’Neal who wrote those verses from Psalm 109:8 in an email about Obama.
Odd that you'd admire this guy's asinine meta-curse so much that you'd attempt to steal it.
Kind of a pansy dodge tho, attributing it to him only after I pointed out the context.
Sessions : lawyered up.
Bannon - unconfirmed rumor from the hill : he physically detained/obstructed two female WH staffers from leaving an area, and is now facing criminal charges.

Happy Birthday Trump!
Edit:
A good look at the legal team that has been assembled. Top notch.
