A little hint: if it's published in the Onion, it's not true. My favorite two Onion stories:

http://www.theonion.com/articles/pointcounterpoint-gov-palin-has-no-experience-vs-p,11575/
The second one is a point/counterpoint where "Palin" is priceless.

Thanks! I wasn't familiar with that magazine, but did some more looking and found out it wasn't. It was entertaining, though.
Best Front page headline ever. I have one hanging in my house - it's hilarous.

Absolutely. I can't believe you other folks haven't heard of the Onion...
The "Joe Biden" stories are my favorite:

No no, its this one:
Harry Potter Books Spark Rise In Satanism Among Children
http://www.theonion.com/articles/harry-potter-books-spark-rise-in-satanism-among-ch,2413/
Personal fave as it was cited in numerous christian sites as a factual article...
and this, though I don't share it with new parent friends anymore:
Study Reveals: Babies are stupid

Barney Frank shifted his butt and farted during an interview on the Rachel Maddow show. I think from eating to much Onions.
The problem is that sometimes The Onion goes for funny and accurately describes reality:

This guy is similar to some of the people who make "constitutional' arguments on Patrick.net, among other places. It's sort of like how The Daily Show is supposed to be comedy, yet it's the most accurate news reporting source.
Ah thank you Controllio, I had forgotten about that gem.
Area Man Passionate Defender Of What He Imagines Constitution To Be
Don't worry you are not the first one to be drawn in by The Onion:

Is this a true story?
Wow. That's great. Here's another classic from the Onion:

Here's another classic from the Onion:
I liked the article, and will invest heavily in either "Illegal Immigration Futures" or "No Preference."

This one was on Patnet in 2007. It's sad when Barbie & Ken can't make the payments on her dream home - and this little girl's brother threatened to cut off Barbie's hair to pay for back payments.

Eerily prescient, wouldn't you agree?
"On the economic side, Bush vowed to bring back economic stagnation by implementing substantial tax cuts, which would lead to a recession, which would necessitate a tax hike, which would lead to a drop in consumer spending, which would lead to layoffs, which would deepen the recession even further. "
and
"After eight years of relatively sane fiscal policy under the Democrats, we have reached a point where, just a few weeks ago, President Clinton said that the national debt could be paid off by as early as 2012," Rahway, NJ, machinist and father of three Bud Crandall said. "That's not the kind of world I want my children to grow up in."

Wow, and that was written in 2001 when W was taking office.
So funny, and as I said, prescient. But then again--was it that hard to predict?

Apparently not if it was done by the joke news. So why did the "real" news miss this, hmmm...

Wow, that's hilarious. Are you sure this wasn't released at some later date than 2001?
This story is listed among those for Monday on the site--I just can't believe it's real, though. I can't remember how to validate thses things, so for those of you who know, let me (us) know. If it is true, what he says at the very last is true, too. I'm betting it isn't--by the way, I call him Zero Bernanke:
