Hi chi_renter,
Cynthia from Sawbuck here ... I just wanted to answer your "how does it work" Q and I'll let the masses give you feedback on working with us.
If you tour a home(s) with one of our partner agents, you are not bound to work with this person unless you choose to sign a buyer-broker agreement with that agent. However, if you decide to buy the house that a partner agent showed you, then that agent is your agent for that transaction. This is standard practice in every state, not just Illinois.
If you have any other specific Qs, feel free to email me at cnowak (@) sawbuck.com.
Happy house hunting!
Cynthia Nowak
I am looking at homes on sawbuck.com. There are a lot more short sale/REO listings on it than on Redfin/Ziprealty. Apparently if I want to tour a home listed there, they will link me to a local realtor for the tour. I was wondering if this causes some kind of buyers agreement with the realtor? I hope not but would like to know if anyone here used them to tour homes on their site. Just touring a home with the realtor should not bind me to that realtor right? Any experiences with this company?
 Thanks.
