I have a perdiction. I predict that Michael Jackson will never perform any of his concert engagements and the ticket price will have to be refunded to every one of the 750k people who purchased tickets. This guy has repeatly broken contract after contract over the last 10 years. He seriously out of touch with reality. He broke a contract with Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad al Khalifa, his Neverland ranch was foreclosured on twice, a Michael Jackson concert was suppose to be a go in Japan a few years ago, but it never happened, jackson backed out yet again. he don't have it anymore. It's only the fact that he's pretty much completely broke that he even agreed to the current tour. I feel very confident that even with the concert hall filled with screaming fans Jackson will never set foot on the stage. There will be some excuse why can can't do it. Even by some chance he is forced to go thru with the first concert, his fans will leave disappointed in his performance. He just doesn't have it any more, he's a has been, after he stands up and disappoints 750k fans, he will have none left.

This post was copied from a tread called Michael Jackson on the old forum. As I predicted he will never set foot on stage. Although I didn't predict his death, I'm not at all upset about it. I'm only saddened he didn't die in prison, convicted as the child molester he was.

The guy was mentally ill. Too bad he died, but his celebustar had dimmed long ago. Long before he became addicted to plastic surgery, long before he was caught molesting young boys. He left behind alot of bills, some children sure to be screwed up, and some psycho fans.

See if you agree, he is "King of Pop"

Not sure what you were getting at, Tomrisk... The guy can lip sync and rub his crotch. Michael Vanilli. He was the king of stylized music, that's for sure. But the king of pop is a name that he gave to himself, and no one (to my knowledge) attempted to dethrone him. Except for him - with multiple plastic surgeries and suspect sexual practices.

He was a pathetic remainder of a one-time talented singer/songwriter/dancer.

The thing that has astounded me is the level of media coverage, really saturation, since he passed. He's not a head of state, his passing will have no effect one way or the other on world events or the economy. The last loss that I can remember having this much effect was when John Kennedy, Jr. along with his wife and sister-in-law were lost in the plane crash. The fact that he was the son of one of our most popular presidents explained a lot of it, I'm sure. I know when Princess Diana died there was much distraction, but I don't believe anywhere near like this. When Elvis died in '77, every bit as iconic to his generation as Jackson, we were shocked, but don't recall literally days and days of nothing but his death to the exclusion of everything else. Of course, in '77 we didn't have 24 hour news coverage as we do now.

His talent was prodigious there's no doubt--enough to satisfy any single human being for the rest of his life. However, over the past 10-15 years, Jackson turned himself into a self-contained, living, breathing sideshow. Really a freak show when you consider the bizarre surgeries, the lipstick, the androgyny and such--thinking of the "nose" gives one goose bumps. There just seemed to be nothing too outlandish for him to do--remember the dangling baby? He simply had the financial means to indulge every whim that came into his mind.

To make another prediction, I do believe that something is not going to be on the up and up when all this is settled out. It's very strange with this "doctor" who was present at the last and now seems to be missing in action. With forensic science what it is today, nothing is going to escape scrutiny.

Finally, I think what an ironic thing that Farrah Fawcett was relegated to virtual obscurity in her passing as compared to Jackson's. She had made such an effort to publicize her tragic end and in the final scene was completely upstaged. Of course Farrah, besides being a tremendously gifted actress, was a lovely person and dwelt much more in the realm of what we consider "normal" than did Jackson, and her sad death was not attended by strange, bizarre circumstances, so I'm sure that accounts for much of it.

Oh, Dr. No lo R:

You are so correct about Farrah Fawcett. She was a gifted actress, unfortunately her beauty and that damn poster detracted from her goal of being taken seriously. There was also the incident on Letterman where she was stoned as hell, but we all make mistakes.

Michael Jackson's career was wonderful (I sang "Ben," the song about the rat from the 70's loudly off-key on my way home last night) and he had many talents. But he fell off the deep end and spent the past fifteen years trying to make a comeback. Buying children from his "wife." Dangling babies, accusations of child molestation (those parents should have been shot too!) and the like.

But the interweb and 24-hour news cycle means that we'll have his death, life story, retrospectives, his mock marriages and subsequent divorces, and his funeral and tributes shoved down our throats for the next few weeks. He was a nutjob, a plastic surgery junkie, and a joke. I'm sorry he died, but I don't want to hear about it for the next few weeks.

The good news is that Dish Network sent me a brand new DVR. The bad news is that I haven't had sufficient time to build up enough programming on it to help me through this troubling time.

Fortunately, I avoided watching (most of) the public spectacle of Wacko Jacko's death and the subsequent memorial. Although, I don't rejoice in the death of most people, Wacko Jacko's pedophilia is not something that should easily be dismissed. The man admitted to sleeping with children. He paid out tens of millions of dollars to the families of his victims in order to avoid prosecution. True, anyone who took their children to Wacko Jacko's PedoLand deserves to be put in jail~~~but then, WACKO JACKO DESERVED TO BE IN JAIL. Now it appears as if Wacko Jacko used an anesthetic normally used in surgeries as a 'sleep aid'. The man was a drug~addled child molester. The memorial is over and let the record show what the 'King Of Poop' did when he was not 'moon~walking'.

I am sure that those who were forced to keep silent will begin writing their books. Sometime in the near future we will begin to see books come out and stories revealed about Wacko Jacko's predilection for boys in his bed. Wacko Jacko's death may have elevated him into a 'Pop' icon, but he had been that all along, well before his pedophilia came to the foreground. The pedophilia and the freaky plastic surgery and all of the outrageous behavior~~~along with advancing age~~~pushed Wacko Jacko into the background musically. Six months ago, Wacko Jacko was musically irrelevant. His music, although it may have been amusing for a time, is nothing more than 'pop music' it has an expiration date and a limited shelf life. No matter that morons and lemmings may be running out to buy some outmoded dance songs, his music is tiresome and will end up being relegated to the trash bin eventually.

I understand that an African American congressperson has attempted to pass a resolution calling Wacko Jacko (the drug~addled pedophile) a 'national icon' or some such thing. I hope that goes nowhere and I hope the legislation is attacked and that Wacko Jacko's history is laid out for public discussion. Just because the man was entertaining does not mean we should excuse his predilection for child rape.

The King Of Pedo's is dead. May he rest in peace.

Wow, they got a photo of MJ's autopsy? I'm sure the family is pissed! And aliens everywhere are planning their plastic surgeries in order to look less like him...
