I watched his latest press release concerning his solution to healthcare.

It's not that I disagree that this is the right way to go; (or at least a better version of whatever the hell we have right now) and not that I don't love the last year compared to the four years of shit show before it ...

It's just, ... my god. What a blowhard. I couldn't be in the same room with this pompous ass for more than 3 minutes.

He is just ... exhausting. I would never allow this person in my personal space. He is toxic.

He is on my last nerve just like Biden was.

Don't get me wrong - I'm all for the policies (I just wish they were enacted by congress and not by executive order).

But ... I would not vote for him a third time. I will vote for Vance, as he seems to be a saner version of this... whatever this is.

It's like Trump is losing the thread of reality and he has surrounded himself with sycophants.

This is a bit of a rant. Am I alone on Patnet?

Yes, I bitched too, but I'm super happy he got all that money for ICE now.

Same, ICE is the only part of the bill I liked.

Well wait until you see him take command of the Midterm Election in November, and the power he will have to prevent industrial fraud.

I hope so, but I don't see it yet. Republicans are all sitting on their asses trying not to piss off the donor class. Which is sad part, they are there for money, not for America. Because we are at a point where feathers need to be ruffled. That gets frustrating. It's like repeat of 2020, where they all sat on their asses afraid to get involved.

What the fuck do you know about how regular people live?

I grew up poor, dad had low-paying lab tech job with four kids. We were on food stamps. Didn't know it as a kid though. No one was rich in the SW suburban Chicago neighborhood I'm from. Very industrial.

Everything I've got I had to work for myself. Did well in school, got scholarships based on my test scores, took on debt, saved constantly.

And I was repeatedly discriminated in education and jobs against just because I'm white and male. This is a fact of life in America. The only systemic racism and sexism in America is systemic racism and sexism against white and Asian men.

From the Hodge Twins Facebook page: Dr. Raul Garcia: "I will tell you something I haven't said publicly that deserves to be said. We were seeing 10-12 Fentanyl overdoses per day...and now we see 1 or 2. Closing the borders and doing the things that Trump is doing has really made America better and safer..."

........................

Trump will fix it !

I sincerely hope that you are right.

And just to reiterate (as the OP) I am not against Trumps' policies at all. I just don't think highly of him on a personal level. Having said that, I've listened to podcasts from Mike Rowe and Adam Carolla and both of those guys say that Trump is completely different in person - he has no ego at all.

The central question is - Did Trump cause the mental breakdown of the libs in this country or were they always crazy?

I don’t know what happened to Democrats. It’s not liberals per se, most here are formerly “liberals”. It’s just something caused Democrats to go full woke and pro illegals, abandoning labor. It came sudden, and rapidly spread.

It’s probably big money, everything revolves around money, I’m just not at those levels to know where it’s coming from. But it’s 100% money driven.

Their power was absolute and they operated with impunity. Their anger stems from their entitlement to make up rules as they go along, using their plastic malleable polices. It's why logic never prevails against them. They just poke a hole in the logic and find a new angle to frame their policies. It's how they go from the Champions of black people, to the champions of Gays, to the Champions of illegal aliens, to the champions of Palestine to the wards of gang members and now Venezuela.

Democrats in America and the Left in general, believe they are hip and part of the latest trend. If the party says the Blueberries are ripe they all come running with the pails. If the blueberries turn out to be dingleberries, they will outlaw real blueberries. The Democrat voter will defend that, with every fiber in their body because they believe they are the hip class.
Democrats are the Sheeple we always talked about.

I don't like all of them. Like you, I think he come across as a blow hard quite often. But, some of us, we'll me at least, like that about him in the context for the political class and their stupid norms and customs which they use to enrich themselves and screw everyone else. A bull in the China shop.

I probably wouldn't want to have a beer with him, unless Mike and Adam are correct. I do hope they are correct.

I'm not sure what part of the country you live in but have you ever dated a West Coast chick? Most of them are high on the crazy-vertical hot matrix. (Socal higher on the hot-horizontal than Norcal)

I mean I've seen it all. One for instance tried to tell me she was conservative because her dad was the CEO of a bank. I overlooked that she worked at an environmental organization because she was smoking hot. But 3 months in I learn that she has to consult rocks (gem stones) before she makes any major decisions in her life. That was the icing on the cake actually.

Stuff like that over and over... Thank god I'm GenX too it seems so much worse for the younger male generations.

I was in Boston late last year for a week long work trip and they seemed like much friendlier more reasonable people than the West coast which surprised me given the "Masshole" reputation. But I wasn't there for very long.

The chicks I met during a Florida trip a few weeks ago were super cool. Probably because it was through friends of like minded friends but they all sounded like me.
