I've seen videos of these people going into empty towns, into peoples houses and all their stuff is still there in decent order. Like they all just disappeared.

Yep! There's a model small town somewhere that authorities hyped just 10-15 years ago, and there are videos shot by a native returning from the cities years later showing how empty it is.

Cremation Centers (some apparently run by the state and free to the public) have long wait times, even all day with a corpse.

Plenty of video of empty malls and such in the small/medium cities, in "older" parts of China, not the Ghost Cities bordering outer Mongolia or westwards.
