The only difference between a fascist and a commie is who they consider the be the workers. National Socialism considered managers included as "workers" (but not bankers and landlords) while the Soviet Socialist only considered the hands-on laborers as "workers." Fascism and Communism are identical in their use of a totalitarian state dictatorship with no allowed opposition, plus use of censorship and total control of media.

Right, Fascism and Communism are essentially identical in crushing fundamental human rights, especially freedom of speech and freedom to own a gun.
I think of Fascism as single-country dictatorship, and Communism as global dictatorship though.

But Fascism has become a pejorative to assign to someone, or an authority. There isn't a Fascist movement which those called Fascists subscribe to.
Where as Communism is very much an alive and well movement, with many global card carrying members.
Someone trying to be fascist today would attract Communist followers for sure. But Communists throw the word around frivolously toward people they don't like or agree with.

I'm starting to think that was always the case. When I watch old Soviet Russian movies, they even label anyone they don't think is toeing the Communist line, as Fascists. It's a word to work a mob up into a frenzy to kill the person accused of being a fascist. While not realizing there's nothing in the world worse than being a Communist.
